Flourishes Challenge FTTC42 and FTTC43

I forgot to post last weeks Flourishes Challenge FTTC42...and here it is. I posted it on SCS and forgot to post it here. I used a Flourished Christmas Reindeer image and heat embossed with Gold Embossing Powder. I colored him with Encore Gold Ink and a sponge. I used gold beads on the antlers and his nose. SU's Chunky White Glitter for the snow, CuttleBug's Snow Emossing Folder on White Shimmery Paper and Gold Paper and Sparkle White from my stash. The Snowflakes are from Spellbinders Snowflake Dies. Also MS Snowflake Border Punch, Blue Swarovski Crystals on the snowflake and his ey, Nesties Rectangle Die under the Noel! Click to see this pic better.

Hi to all! I really hope that you all had a very Happy Thanksgiving! Mine was extremely special in so many ways. I am blessed with the most wonderful family and friends. You know, there are not a lot of people that can say those words and for it to be "really" true! ...For me it is too true!
We had a fabulous weekend and it is not over yet. My sister, long-time friend and I are going to see the movie "New Moon" tomorrow. I do not know if many of you have read the Twighlight Series...but the three of us are big time fans. So I still have that to look forward to. Also went shopping today at Michael's and Hobby Lobby...need I say more??? Oh my word did I ever get some 'sweet' deals...spent too much, but hey...it's for me!!

This card I am posting is for the Flourishes FTTC43 Challenge. It is a simple card, easy peasy to make...using the Spellbinders Poinsettia Dies, Sheer Red Ribbon from Flourishes, SSU's Real Red Cardstock, Red Velvet Paper and Candy Cane Striped Paper from Hobby Lobby, and Rhinestones....see, easy as pie .

Thanks guys for stopping by...be safe coming home from the holidays and I really hope you enjoy my little creation!

Happy Thanksgiving Week & La La Land's Thankful Challenge

I am posting this card for the La La Land's Thankful Challenge! They have blog candy, which you can see on my side bar! Yummers!!
This is a card that I made for a very special friend!! The stamp came from the dollar bin at Michael's and I colored it with my Copic Ciao markers. The card stock is SU's Really Rust. I just love the DP underneath with the scarecrows and pumpkins. I believe I got this DP and the leaf DP from Hobby Lobby last year. I used the Nestabilities Deckled Edge Dies. The sentiment is from Flourishes. I put MS branches punch leaves on the corners and weighed them down with Pebbles. The ribbon is May Arts Rust that I bought from Artful Inkables. And of course I used dimensionals to add depth. Again I used my newest sponging (sp?) technique around the images. I am really excited that the sponging is taking so well, and need to move on to other techniques...LOL. This photograph stinks...but if you click on it...maybe it will look better. IRL it is just one of my favorites.
I do not know if I will have time to post again this week as my work requires this last week of the month to really get it (work) done. Therefore, I wish all of you the Very Best Thanksgiving!!!

Many Thanks to all of you who have been so faithful in following my blog! Your comments have made me laugh and smile! Please be safe this weekend and stay well, as I am not in the "mood" for any unhappy news!!

Hugs to you all!!!

Think Ink Challenge from Artful Inkables

When I first saw this new release I just knew I HAD to have it!!! These little guys are so adorable they just make you Christmas "HAPPY!" The challenge for Think Ink Tuesday at Artful Inkables is to make a tag...any kind of tag. Well these little guys stood up for the challenge and screamed "me, me, me!" So as not to disappoint, I gathered them together and chose these images. They were happy with glee knowing that not only would they appear on my blog, but also on SCS. I love it when images come from Kristin...she is such a talent and she can go from adorable to elegant to "Twilight" in no time.

I first cut white cardstock in a square and glued the Crafty Secrets Christmas Journal bottoms to the square. Then I used my Square Nestabilities to cut out the square, stamped the image with Momento Tuxedo Black Ink, colored with Copic Ciao Markers and OMS. I added Liquid Pearls for the snowflakes and the top of otter's hat, a little sparkle from Stickles, MS branch punch with sparkle paper (greatest ever invention), and Glitter Dots and Gold Ribbon. Wha..la!!!

Now I feel bad about my scarecrow below, because he was not posted long enough for any comments...but the challenge ends at midnight for Think Ink Tuesday and I wanted to make sure I made it.

I hope these little guys put a smile on your face when you see them. Thank you for comments...Oh by the way. Kristin has 4 new releases and you can find them at Artful Inkables so be sure and stop by so you can see what a variety she has forthcoming! Please DO click on the picture to get a better view!!!

High Hopes Scarecrow

Happy Sunday!!! I am especially happy because I have the whole day to myself...to do what ever I want. And, you know what I want to do...create...stamp...color!!! I have a lot of new tools that I have gotten over the past two weeks and I very much want to pull them out and get to work! Just so you know...I am gonna have a very fun day today!
Although I have been working 6 days a week lately, it has taken a toll on my house keeping...so I know I will have to get some of that done, but with a whole day to myself...heck, I can do it!
I bought this stamp from High Hopes last year and never got around to coloring him. I just adore this scarecrow as he just says Thanksgiving and Fall. I stamped him with Momento Tuxedo Black and colored with my Copics. I used some rust cardstock that I bought from Flourishes a while back. I found the DP from Hobby Lobby and thought it perfect for this fall card. The Spellbinders Die was used and I just cut a rectangle for the image. I sponged all around this little guy with SU's So Saffron. My first ever sponging...I have to admit Beate at Fresh and Fun has been my inspiration for sponging...and now I am hooked. I have more sponging to show in the future...I am so excited she inspired me to move on to another technique. Back to the card...I found this beautiful ribbon at Hobby Lobby and used a Pumpkin Patch Button Sign to put by his feet...and an autum sparkly leaf that was also a button. I just clipped off the back of both buttons and glued them where I wanted them.
I really like how this turned out and hope you do to. Wishing you all the very best week coming up and Stay Healthy. Thank you for looking!!

Think INK Challenge

Hey Guys! I am ready for the Think INK Challenge over at Artful Inkables. We are supposed to make something we have never made before...a 3-D item or a technique that we have never done before. This is my very first "box ornament" and I used Artful Inkables "Paper Snowflakes" stamps on both the card and the box. This set is so versatile that you can really use it on any Christmas card with any other image.

I made my little box ornament from looking at another bigger box. I used four squares of ivory cardstock and silver embossed the images with Versamark Ink and Fine Silver Embossing Powder. I put them on all four sides of the box and then used my Spellbinders Snowflakes to add to the ribbon on top of the box. The card was made with ivory cardstock and DP from Hobby Lobby. I had some silver glitter paper and used my circle Nestabilities for the larger image. The ribbon actually came from a birthday present that I received last year...I collect and save tooooo much...LOL!

Do Click on the picture so you can see the details...I am out the door now to get to work...Here's wishing you all a very safe and happy weekend!! Thanks for your visit!

Timeless Tuesday Flourishes

Hey Everybody! This is a credit card holder that I made for the Timeless Tuesday Challenge at Flourishes. For the challenge you must use punches or borders of any kind. My cardstock came from Michael's and I used my Favorite Christmas Set from Flourishes called A Flourished Christmas! I have used and used this stamp over and over and it still stamps like new. I heat embossed the image with silver embossing powder and put rhinestones around the tree. I used my MS punch for the borders on the sides and Glitter Yarn for the handles. What can I say...Easy Peasy!! This pic leaves much to be desired, but if you click on it you can see the deets better.

Hope you all had a great Halloween...I certainly did! Thank you all for your wonderfully sweet comments!
