Rejoice from Flourishes,llc

I decided to add one more of my Christmas cards on this last day of 2007. This is by far one of my favorites. The angel stamp came from Flourishes. I have used this stamp in a variety of ways and you can check out the customer gallery at http://flourishes.org/ to see some beautiful cards from Flourishes customers and their wonderful design team. I just started this blog in November of this year and I have just noticed that I have had over 1,000 visits from some wonderful people. I want to take this time to thank all of you who have made some very nice comments about my work. You have made me more self-confident about showing and sharing what I love to do. Once again, I wish all of you a Very Happy New Year!!

Hello Everyone! I cannot believe that the year 2007 is almost over. Time has just flown by. I have been so blessed and this year has really been a great one for me. I have a wonderful family and that is my greatest blessing. Oh, and I cannot forget my friend "Piper" (my dog). My friends at work and outside of work have been super.
This picture is another of my photographic disasters. However, I have something ordered that hopefully will make my pictures better. When I get it in, I will share it with you. I wish all of you a blessed New Year!! Thanks for your comments and for just stopping by.

This is what I gave some of my co-workers for Christmas presents. I made five cards for different occasions and put them with envelopes in a clear box and tied with silver elastic cord. I think it was a hit and they really liked the present. I also put a sentiment in each card so all they would have to do is sign it. This picture is just plain louzy...but I think you get the idea. My Christmas was grand in every way, except that my DD was ill with an upper respiratory infection. She and my wonderful SIL gave me some storage units for my 12 X 12 papers. Can I tell you how excited I was!!! Of course, I need more...LOL...but time will help with that one. I visited with my sister, my niece, her husband and their two lovely children; Tyler who is 5 and Elsa Grace who is 4..no need to tell you how fun that was...just watching them in all of their excitement. I hope that all of you had a Very Merry Christmas and a soon to be Very Happy New Year!!!

I am off of work for the next 5 days!!! Yeah for me :) Of course today I will be cleaning house to get ready for Christmas. I am finished shopping and wrapping gifts...all I have to do is put the bows on top :)
To see the 'real' glitter of this card, you will have to click on it. I got the Christmas tree stamp from a $1 bin at A.C. Moore...I love that kind of find!! The Joy stamp is from Flourishes, llc.

It's 30 degrees outside and I am sitting here drinking my hot tea and listening to the Mannheim Steamroller "In The Aire" Christmas CD. I just love listing to anything Mannheim. I am in such a wonderful state of being blessed. Anyhoo, this picture was taken on my patio and I do not think it was the best place for me and my new camera. I am just trying to find the right place to take pictures...Oh well, eventually I will find the right place. Thanks for your visit.

Holy Triptych

Hi all ~ Sorry it's been awhile. I have just been busy, like all of you...getting ready for Christmas. I feel like I have been running around too much and need to take a day off. Anyway, I love this stamp set from SU! They are so elegant and beautiful. I used Designer Series Blue Bayou paper, Blue Bayou Card Stock, Soft Sky Designer Series Paper, Versamark Ink, Turquoise Embossing Glitter, and White Satin Ribbon from Offray. This color is probably one of my very favorites. Thanks for looking :)

No Post for today and maybe for a couple of more days. Sorry, but I have been so wrapped up in Christmas stuff. I finally finished my DD's Christmas wreaths to put on the outside of her house. I am making almost all of the gifts I am giving to the people I work with. When Christmas is over, I'll post what I've done. I do not remember the last time I "truly" cleaned my house. And, oh yea, I have a full time job and really need to get back to that one :) I do hope that everyone is well during this season. Until later...

Flourished Elements

I hope all of you are almost finished with your Christmas shopping. I only have two more gifts to get and I will be glad when that is done. There seems to be so little time to get things done during this time of year. I still have to finish making wreaths for my DD's house and when I do, I will post it here...if I can find the time :) I don't know if you can tell with this picture, but on the paper, I used clear embossing powder with the Flourishes elements.

Happy Birthday Annie !

Today is my sister's birthday ! She has quite an adoration (to put it mildly) for flowers and anything that grows in the ground. She has a 'green thumb' and can grow anything to it's maximum potential. She is also my best friend and I love her dearly.

For this card I used the Spellbinder's Oval Nestabilities, Swarovski Crystals, Beaded Trim, Miscellaneous Paper from Hobby Lobby, Dimentionals, and a Fabric Flower from Hobby Lobby.

B is for Boy and G is for Girl

I made these two cards awhile back when I first bought my 'Cricut.' Once again, I apologize for my picture taking skills, or should I say "lack of" skills. One of these days I will get it right. Once again, if you click on the picture you can see the details. The 'B' abnd 'G', boat and giraffes come from the 'Cricut' cartridge New Arrival. The tag comes from George and Basic Shapes cartridge. As for the paper, just miscellaneous from I do not know where. Gotta run...Christmas shopping awaits me. Thanks for stopping by!

Flourished Christmas

It's raining outside. You know that soft continuous rain without any lightning or thunder. I love this kind of weather, call me crazy. I have my little lamps on and my mulled cider candles lit and making the house smell like Christmas. I have the Christmas music playing in the background and it is just wonderful. I am so fortunate. Anyway, I wish I could get my photography skills up and going. I know I spent at least 45 minutes trying to capture the glitter on these Flourished stamps. Furthermore, it looks orange and it is really crimson...Oh well. Once again, my favorite Christmas Flourish Tree. But, alas...I must come out of this little dream and get back to my job. Hope everyone has a great week :)

Wishing You Well

This card I made for my friend Debbie who is recovering from her surgery. Her favorite color is purple and therefore, even purple water.

I was at Best Buy at 4:30 yesterday morning with my daughter (yeah, I was there just for her) and it took 2 hours to get into the store, the line was that long. It took another 1 1/2 hours to check out. We have decided that it really was not worth it. Although we had a great time and met quite a few very nice people. And, we really did save a LOT of money...but in the long run, I coulda been stampin and she coulda been scrapping. Hope you all have had a wonderful holiday weekend.

This card is for a friend of mine who is getting married next month. She and her soon to be hubby are "just" made for each other. I wish them all the best.
I wish all of you a Very Happy Thanksgiving. I am blessed with a wonderful family, my friends, my job, and my way too smart Australian Shepherd "Piper." Thanks for the visit!

Flourished Elements

Hi all ~ I have playing music in the background "The Best of Christmas" by the 101 Strings Orchestra. This is a 3 CD set that is one of my very favorite Christmas CD's. It has 50 Christmas Favorites. I should be getting a commission for selling this CD, but I like to share what I love with others. The music put me in the mood for Silver and Flourishes. I love the new Flourishes Elements stamps as the ideas are endless. Usually I have patterned paper backgrounds, but this time I just wanted the elegance of silver. If you were to click on the picture, you may be able to see the blue Swarovski Crystal in the middle of the "joy" charm. Thanks for taking a glimpse and have a wonderful day.

Flourished Elements and Flourished Words

I made this Thank You card with my good friend Debbie in mind. We have worked together for a few years now. She is a comical friend and she has a wild side about her. She is very talented in her art of making jewelry and she enjoys her art as much as I do mine. She will be having surgery this Friday and I wanted her to know how thankful I am that she has come into my life.

Yeah, I shouldn't have made another card today, but geez...that vacuum cleaner will still be here tomorrow. Right? Heck, I am beginning to feel guilty, so I think after this post I will pull the darn thing out and at least get the floors clean. A woman's work is never done.
I am still trying to get the hang of my new camera. I really want to have a "set up" on a table just to take pictures. Hmmm...maybe I will do that next...oops I already forgot that I have to vacuum. Thanks for looking!

Noel Angel

I am off of work today because of Veteran's Day. I got up this morning and knew that I should be cleaning my house...but alas, my stamps were calling me. And my stamps and other paraphernalia just seem to be more important that cleaning the house. Tomorrow I will be sorry, but not today :) This was an especially fun card to make. Maybe because I was in a "pink" mood, which is a good mood. I just adore this stamp from SU. It is just wonderfully soft and graceful.

Rejoice

Rejoice in silver from Flourishes. I'm not really crazy about the color choices here, but I love the stamp and I also liked seeing it in silver. Think maybe I should have gone with more blue...My daughter came home this weekend for a visit after being out of town on her job, and I spent as much time with her as I could. Hope all of you have a great holiday weekend. God Bless our Troops!

Flourished Christmas

My Favorite Stamp of any stamp I own is the Flourished Christmas Tree. The intricate detail of this stamp has received many gasps from my friends and coworkers. I have heat embossed this stamp at least 20 times and in all different colors and the look is just as beautiful and elegant. I can say it again, this is My Favorite Stamp!

I am so getting in the Christmas mood and making
cards just gets me even more in the Christmas mood. My daughter gave me a camera for my birthday because she knew I was planning on opening a blog. However, my photography is still in a learning phase and sometimes while trying to get just the right shot I begin getting a neck ache. Does this happen to anyone else? Maybe I need to find out how others take their pictures. In my family, my sister and my daughter are the photographers, but I am learning.

The weather here is absolutely wonderful. I wish it could be this way all year...well maybe I'm asking for too much. Just need to be happy for what we have. This was a fun card to make. Today I felt like Poppies and orange and green. I love satin ribbon and a Cuttlebug. It just makes the card "pop." I do not know where I got the orange and green paper, sorry.

Rejoice

Today is a beautiful day here in Montgomery, Alabama. I have opened my den door to the enclosed glassed and screened in patio, because the air is so crisp and cool. What a great way to start the day with my favorite thing to do...stamp ! Here is another beautiful stamp from Flourishes! I really had fun with this stamp and as you can see the detail is to be admired. The "red" birds are actually buttons that I found. The addition of swarovksi crystals just accentuates the Rejoice stamp. I hope everyone enjoys...

A Flourished Christmas

Flourished Christmas

First time for this blogger.
I hope to give you inspiration with my ideas and to share a bit of elegance and vintage with my craft.

The stamps I used on this card are from http://www.flourishes.org/. When I first found Florishes, I fell in love with the intricate detail of their stamps. I have made several cards with this reindeer stamp and everyone of them looks different and really "majestic." Unfortunately, I have a lot to learn from my photography skills. This picture really does not do it justice. I hope you all enjoy! More to come...

Stamps: Flourished Christmas

Paper: Miscellaneous from Michaels

Ink: Versamark ink

Accesories: Copper embossing powder, gold glitter, pearl brads, ribbon from SU, Cuttlebug ovals, and scotch brand dimensional mouting tape.
