I used SU's black embossing powder on both of these stamps. I used the oval Nestabilities, which I bought from Flourishes. The white satin ribbon also came from Flourishes. I used an oval acrylic rhinestone from Martha Stewart. The glittered buttons came from Jesse James and the heart charm...well, WalMart.

Once again, HAPPY BIRTHDAY JAN MARIE!!

It's Twins...A Boy...and...A Girl !

Is this not the cutest card you've seen (from me anyway)!! I have a very good friend who is having twins...A Boy...and...A Girl! She is due at any time now and we gave her this great baby shower at work. I made several cards for other people in the office to give...wouldn't you know I forgot to take pictures...Anyhoo, my friend, Mary said she would get them back to me so I could take pictures. She said that she could never throw any of these away and is thinking of making the cards into a Baby Collage (did I spell that right)? Someone at the office gave Mary a box of 192 Pampers....She is going to need them!!

On to the card...the paper came from Hobby Lobby. The ribbon I bought from Flourishes. The stars and "Celebrate" embellishments came from Tom Coffey, which I also bought at Hobby Lobby. The precious penguin stamps came from C.C. Designs. I bought my oval nestabilities from Flourishes. As you can tell, I am a huge fan of Flourishes....and they sell much more than just beautiful stamps...check out their website and see for yourselves. I colored the penquins with my Copic Ciao markers.

I hope you all enjoy this one as much as I enjoyed making it.

Birthday Card For A Friend

I really hate it when I am in such a rush that I cannot even take the time to really let you all know what is happening. But with working 6 days a week full time, that kinda takes the edge off of my time. I can tell you that my sis and I went walking at 4:30 this morning three times around the block. We always have fun when we are together. And, Yeah...Piper (my aussie) went with us and she of course had the best time. I hope this walking thing will help with staying healthy. That's the plan :)
This is what I call a "QUICK" card. My friend, Andrette, at work asked me to make a Birthday Card for her hubby. She said that his favorite color was blue. Thus the blue card. The base of the card is light blue, topped with dark blue and striped patterned paper. I used my Cuttlebug for the Happy Birthday background. The balloons were made with a punch and I highlighted them with my Copic Glitter Markers. That's it. Have a great day.
Thanks for stopping by !

C.C. Designs Love Ya' Much

I love these stamps by C.C. Designs. I made this card for my friend Debbie's husband for Valentines. From what she said, he really loved it. I used Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol to color the birdies, Nestabilities scalloped hearts that I got from Flourishes. The Nestabilities Ovals I also bought from Flourishes. The paper is SU's Brilliant Blue Designer Series, miscellaneous ribbon and buttons from who knows.

Hope you all have a wonderful Sunday !!

Flourishes Lace Heart Again

Happy Valentine's Day to all of you ! This card was made with Flourishes Lace Heart Stamp. I got the idea from Nancy Kirk...she is such an inspiration to me. I cut the three little hearts from the Lace Heart Stamp from the bottom. I made an envelope and lined it with gold paper. The saying is also from Flourishes and I heated gold embossing glitter on the hearts and the sentiment. I also used Jesse James Dress It Up gold glitter dots and gold ribbon with a flower I got from Hobby Lobby. The paper was from A.C. Moore. I tried taking this picture with my new photo tent, but just could not get good results. I hate that I am so impatient...I want to get the best picture on the first try, but after 20 minutes of trying, I took it outside ! Sounds like a fight to me...I just love Flourishes stamps...they are so very elegant and just plain swirly ! Thanks for coming to visit my site and I really want to thank all of you who have made such sweet comments.....HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY !

Valentine Gift Card Holders

Day before Valentine's Day...These two little purses are really credit card holders. They were very easy to make. I made my own template and cut and folded the cardstock. Then I added patterned paper and on the bottom I used my slit punch from SU to make the scallops. I added rhinestones to the scallops on each of the purses, but you would have to click on it to see the real bling here. The beaded handles are just stuff I have had left over from attempts to make jewelry. The heart scallops in the middle are of course Nestabilities. What a wonderful invention.
Have a wonderful day :)

C.C. Designs Little Penguins

Hello Everyone ~ This card is just too cute for words...of course the stamp comes from C.C. Designs Little Penguins. I just love these stamps and everyone who sees them says "aawwhh." The paper comes from Hobby Lobby as does the cardstock. I used the Nestabilities Scalloped Heart Template to cut out and emboss the heart. I also used the oval Nestabilities to put the penguin and Hugs in. For the first time, I used my new Copic Ciao Markers. Love these babies!! Lot to learn with them since it's my first time, but I'll get there (I Hope).
I have two more posts for Valentines...uummm...maybe three...and I'm saving my favorite for the 14th...Yeah, you would know it's going to be from my favorite place, Flourishes. I hear that Jan Marie and Sharon are having a great time at the CHA...wish I could be there with them.
Wish you all a great evening and an even better tomorrow :)

Flourishes Lace Heart

Hi Everyone ~ I am posting a card I did for Flourishes back before they put me in the "Customer Spotlight." I don't know if all of you saw it in their Newsletter on January 7, 2008, but this is probably one of my favorite cards of all time. Mostly because of all the bling and glitter, but also I love the simplicity of the design. The stamp of course is one of my favorites also.

I used the Lace Heart Stamp from Flourishes and Versamark Ink with Pink Embossing Glitter. Then placed a Swarovski Crystal in the middle. I bought the paper from Michaels and it was in a package and I cannot fine it anywhere, sry. The ribbon also came from Flourishes.

I wish you all would check out Flourishes, as they are having a Cake Decorating Spotlight for the month of February. This will be so much fun! I have just ordered these stamps and cannot wait to play with them.

Wish you all the bestest :)

Hey Everyone! This is a card that I made for my DD Amy. If you click on the picture, you can see the details so much more clearer. This has been one of my favorite cards that I have every done. So of course I would save it for Amy. I used the Designer Series Fall Flowers for the background paper. SU's Soft Sky ribbon and Soft Sky Card Stock for the Nestabilities Scallops. The cupcake came from Studio G Clear Stamps, which I got in a dollar bin at A.C. Moore. I used my Soft Sky Classic Ink and a blender pen to color the base of the cupcake and Liquid Pearls for the icing on the cake. Tiny acrylic rhinestones top the candle. A Jesse James button was glued to the bow.
I think that is about it. I have got to get my self in the mood for cleaning this house...that's hard to do when all you wanna do is stamp and play. I hope you all have a great day :)
