Rejoice from Flourishes,llc

I decided to add one more of my Christmas cards on this last day of 2007. This is by far one of my favorites. The angel stamp came from Flourishes. I have used this stamp in a variety of ways and you can check out the customer gallery at http://flourishes.org/ to see some beautiful cards from Flourishes customers and their wonderful design team. I just started this blog in November of this year and I have just noticed that I have had over 1,000 visits from some wonderful people. I want to take this time to thank all of you who have made some very nice comments about my work. You have made me more self-confident about showing and sharing what I love to do. Once again, I wish all of you a Very Happy New Year!!

Hello Everyone! I cannot believe that the year 2007 is almost over. Time has just flown by. I have been so blessed and this year has really been a great one for me. I have a wonderful family and that is my greatest blessing. Oh, and I cannot forget my friend "Piper" (my dog). My friends at work and outside of work have been super.
This picture is another of my photographic disasters. However, I have something ordered that hopefully will make my pictures better. When I get it in, I will share it with you. I wish all of you a blessed New Year!! Thanks for your comments and for just stopping by.

This is what I gave some of my co-workers for Christmas presents. I made five cards for different occasions and put them with envelopes in a clear box and tied with silver elastic cord. I think it was a hit and they really liked the present. I also put a sentiment in each card so all they would have to do is sign it. This picture is just plain louzy...but I think you get the idea. My Christmas was grand in every way, except that my DD was ill with an upper respiratory infection. She and my wonderful SIL gave me some storage units for my 12 X 12 papers. Can I tell you how excited I was!!! Of course, I need more...LOL...but time will help with that one. I visited with my sister, my niece, her husband and their two lovely children; Tyler who is 5 and Elsa Grace who is 4..no need to tell you how fun that was...just watching them in all of their excitement. I hope that all of you had a Very Merry Christmas and a soon to be Very Happy New Year!!!

I am off of work for the next 5 days!!! Yeah for me :) Of course today I will be cleaning house to get ready for Christmas. I am finished shopping and wrapping gifts...all I have to do is put the bows on top :)
To see the 'real' glitter of this card, you will have to click on it. I got the Christmas tree stamp from a $1 bin at A.C. Moore...I love that kind of find!! The Joy stamp is from Flourishes, llc.

It's 30 degrees outside and I am sitting here drinking my hot tea and listening to the Mannheim Steamroller "In The Aire" Christmas CD. I just love listing to anything Mannheim. I am in such a wonderful state of being blessed. Anyhoo, this picture was taken on my patio and I do not think it was the best place for me and my new camera. I am just trying to find the right place to take pictures...Oh well, eventually I will find the right place. Thanks for your visit.

Holy Triptych

Hi all ~ Sorry it's been awhile. I have just been busy, like all of you...getting ready for Christmas. I feel like I have been running around too much and need to take a day off. Anyway, I love this stamp set from SU! They are so elegant and beautiful. I used Designer Series Blue Bayou paper, Blue Bayou Card Stock, Soft Sky Designer Series Paper, Versamark Ink, Turquoise Embossing Glitter, and White Satin Ribbon from Offray. This color is probably one of my very favorites. Thanks for looking :)

No Post for today and maybe for a couple of more days. Sorry, but I have been so wrapped up in Christmas stuff. I finally finished my DD's Christmas wreaths to put on the outside of her house. I am making almost all of the gifts I am giving to the people I work with. When Christmas is over, I'll post what I've done. I do not remember the last time I "truly" cleaned my house. And, oh yea, I have a full time job and really need to get back to that one :) I do hope that everyone is well during this season. Until later...

Flourished Elements

I hope all of you are almost finished with your Christmas shopping. I only have two more gifts to get and I will be glad when that is done. There seems to be so little time to get things done during this time of year. I still have to finish making wreaths for my DD's house and when I do, I will post it here...if I can find the time :) I don't know if you can tell with this picture, but on the paper, I used clear embossing powder with the Flourishes elements.

Happy Birthday Annie !

Today is my sister's birthday ! She has quite an adoration (to put it mildly) for flowers and anything that grows in the ground. She has a 'green thumb' and can grow anything to it's maximum potential. She is also my best friend and I love her dearly.

For this card I used the Spellbinder's Oval Nestabilities, Swarovski Crystals, Beaded Trim, Miscellaneous Paper from Hobby Lobby, Dimentionals, and a Fabric Flower from Hobby Lobby.

B is for Boy and G is for Girl

I made these two cards awhile back when I first bought my 'Cricut.' Once again, I apologize for my picture taking skills, or should I say "lack of" skills. One of these days I will get it right. Once again, if you click on the picture you can see the details. The 'B' abnd 'G', boat and giraffes come from the 'Cricut' cartridge New Arrival. The tag comes from George and Basic Shapes cartridge. As for the paper, just miscellaneous from I do not know where. Gotta run...Christmas shopping awaits me. Thanks for stopping by!
