Flourishes Peace

Hello all...This is the card I made for everyone that I sent Christmas cards to. The picture is not nearly as pretty...and the silver paper is sparkly.

My family has all been sick with some kind of respiratory virus and that is why I have not posted more. I got the bug and now I am just sick...LOL...happy new year to me :)

Needless to say, I used the Cuttlebug Embossing Folder for the tree...Love that one!

I wish all of you the Happiest of the New Year!

Merry Christmas to all of you !!!

Flourished Christmas

My favorite Christmas stamp is this from Flourishes
No matter how many times I use this stamp it is always simple and elegant ! I used some sparkly blue cardstock that I've had for a while and then used my Cuttlebug Christmas Ornaments folder on white shimmery paper. Versamark ink and Silver Embossing powder made the tree and a "Dress Me Up" silver dot for the top of the tree. The Silver shiny paper made with the Rectangle Nestabilities came from Michaels. I used Robin's Nest Pebbles in Primary Colors and the sheer blue ribbon also came from Flourishes. A touch of silver thread and this card was ready to go.

So...here is the killer...I have Corel Paint Shop Pro and Corel Media One...Is anyone familiar with these two photo softwares? When I fix the pic with both of these...the card looks just beautiful and like it is in person...but I cannot pull the card up on blogger with these two softwares...Am I making sense? It always makes me pull it up through my Documents and Pictures...which does not give it the statement it deserves...I have saved the pics from Corel Paint Shop Pro and Corel Media One to my Documents/Pictures...but it still does not look as good as it does with these two programs...If any of you knows of a way I can pull my pics up through the software programs...please let me know...I am still (Obviously) in the learning phase...and hopefully I will get better with time (which I have none of ...LOL)

Thanks for the visit...have a great rest of the weekend :)

Happy Thanksgiving !!!

I am really looking forward to this afternoon, as my family and I are all getting together for this wonderful holiday. This card was made with a couple of Me & Carrie Lou Pumpkin Stamps. I used cardstock from SU. Versamark ink and Gold Embossing Powder on the Pumpkins and the saying, which came from Flourishes Many Sentiments. I colored with my Copic Ciao Markers. The ribbon is from A.C. Moore and the Gold Dots are from a stash I had from last year. The leaf is also from A.C. Moore. I used some gold dots in the middle of the flower from Michaels, Martha Stewart's branch punch, and Mega Nestabilities Curved Rectangle. To finish it, I used Robin's Nest Pebbles in the corners.

Here is a close up of the pumpkins...

I wish you all a Very Happy Thanksgiving !!! Be Safe and thanks for your visit!

Thank You from Flourishes

I know that I have been posting only once a week lately, but I have a lot going on right now. As you can see it is midnight and the only reason I am posting now, is because my precious 'Piper' had to go outside. I thought...now would be a good time to post...and now when I look at this picture, I wonder..."did ya ever think about what the background would look like here?" LOL...guess not :)

Here is another version of the Flourishes Thank You set. I used VersaMark ink and embossed with Gold Embossing powder and a heat gun.

Then background is the all famous Cuttlebug folder with square Nesties in gold paper. The ribbon came from A.C. Moore and then I used the Pretties Kit from SU and placed a pearl in the center of the flower. Simple, but very nice I think.
Wishing you all a great 'rest of the week.' Thanks for stopping by :)

Flourishes Poppy Patch

Today is Veteran's Day and I know all of you are praying for our troops...What bravery they must have and I am so proud of all that they are doing for our country!

This card is made with Flourishes Poppy Patch stamps. Also, Flourishes Many Sentiments (Thank You). The cardstock is SU's Green Galore...DP paper is from Once Upon A Time and SU's Groovy Guava DP Series. I colored with my Copic Markers and Copic Glitter Pens. I wish the glitter would have shown up in these pictures, because that is what makes this card so beautiful in person. Alas, I really need to take some photography classes...but when? Working full time and family makes it hard to find the time. One day...I also used by Cuttlebug Rectangle Folders and a white singo pen and one Swarovsky Crystal for the middle of the Poppy Flower.

Gotta run...Dentist today....ugh! Have a great week all :)

Thank You Set from Flourishes

This is the Thank You Set from Flourishes.
I love this let because it is so versatile...You can use it for almost any occasion...including Birthdays and Sympathy cards...I used miscellaneous paper from Hobby Lobby. The Oval Nestabilities around the image. I colored the image with my Copic Markers and used Liquid Pearls around the oval. The bow also came from Flourishes and I topped it off with a Robin's Nest Pebble.

I wish you could see the Copic Glitter Marker that I used around the edges of the flower...It is so much prettier in person. I will say click on it to get the deets, sometimes it works, and sometimes it does not work.

Happy Halloween !!!

Here is a close up of the bottom where I used Graphite Stickles and SU's big glitter (???) not sure of the name.

Hello All You Halloweenies ~ This is short because I have much to do in the way of trick or treating...Parties galore and of course tonight's trick-or-treating. This is another one of my 'cheap' stamps from A.C. Moore...I won't go into the making of the card because I do not have time...and if you look close enough, you can see that it is just a simple card without much ado.

Wishing you all a very Happy Halloween and please stay safe tonight :)

Another Baby Card

Here is another baby card that I made for a friend. The bottle stamp is from Rubbernecker Stamps I have had so many orders using this stamp either in pink or in blue, and I just love the cute image. I used SU's Pretty in Pink Cardstock for the base. The pink stripe paper is from a miscellaneous pile of paper I had. I used my Coulzzle to make the oval shapes. You cannot really see it unless you click on the pic, but I used Cuttlebugs "Frills" embossing folder on the top and bottom of the striped paper. Colored the image with my Copic Ciao markers and added the sticker butterfly where I made a mistake. Isn't it grand to have something to cover up mistakes? I then used my SU's Pretties Kit flowers and Swarovski Crystals to add a little bling.

I hope you guys don't get tired of seeing this image as I have more to come, specifically blue and pink.

I am off to Holiday Market today with my sister and her daughter and my daughter...Holiday Market is what we have every year and it is booths of local stores in and out of our area...great for Christmas shopping. They have all kinds of booths from foods, jewelry, sterling silver, children's clothes, women's accessories, etc. We are going to have a fabulous time...I look forward to this event every year. Thousands of people attend and that is the only downfall (I hate being in crowds), but it is so much fun that it is worth it.

Wishing you all a very happy and safe weekend. Don't forget to click on the pic to get a better "see" :)

Halloween Jack-O-Lanterns

Hey guys ~ This is one of the stamps that I bought at the A.C. Moore Store that is closing in our area. They had a huge bin with hundreds of stamps, mostly Halloween stamps and you could buy 10 stamps for $2.36....so I bought 10 stamps....I will probably go back to get some more in a day or two. You just cannot beat that price.

The cardstock came from Flourishes
I do not remember the color, sry :( The Halloween paper came from A.C. Moore. I used orange Angel Hair Paper (I bought this years ago on the internet) on top of the purple cardstock and then added some spider stickers and Robins Nest pebbles. I also used the Robins Nest pebbles on the jack-o-lanterns and on the DP paper. Of course the image is colored with my Copic Ciao Markers and set on the Nestabilities Ovals and the ribbon came from Flourishes also.

This was a fun card to make...of course, I think anything Halloween is fun! The weather here in Bama is just gorgeous...in the 50's and 60's and you can almost smell Halloween in the air. Hope you all enjoy and have fun and stay safe this weekend :)

Halloween House Mouse

I love all of the images from House Mouse...as probably most of you do. This one made me happy because I was able to make a Halloween card and I have been biting at the bit to get to this stamp. I bought it from Hobby Lobby in the clearance bin for just $2.15...can't beat that deal with a stick :) The cardstock came from Flourishes. The pumpkin paper from Hobby Lobby. I used Pumpkin Pie from SU using my Petite Round Nestabilities. I stamped the image with Brilliance Black Ink and colored him with my Copic Ciao Markers. Then finished him off with Stickles Glitter in orange and green. The corners were blinged with Robins Nest Pebbles.

Hope you all enjoy...Stay safe during this holiday weekend :)

Rubbernecker Baby Boy

This comes from the "Baby" set of stamps from Rubbernecker. Like I said before, I have had so many orders for baby cards and gifts that I have more to show. Although I have to admit that I wish I had more time to play with my Halloween stamps. Our local A.C. Moore store is closing and they have a bin full of Halloween stamps that I have been gathering just for Halloween cards. But I haven't had time to do them because I've been making cards for people who have ordered from me. Then, there are my friends and family who have birthdays and other events that just 'have' to be done. My, my...so little time and so much fun!!

I made this card a while back and cannot remember the cardstock colors, but I am sure they are from SU. I did use my Scor-Pal to score lines, used my Copic Ciao Markers to color, Blue Satin Ribbon from Flourishes
and Swarovski Crystal for the bow on the balloon and a Pearl from the "Pretties Kit" (SU). I also used some stickers from a pack I have had forever...the hippo and the zebra.

Hope you enjoy and have a great weekend !!!

This one is for baby

There seems to be a lot of babies being born around this time. And I have really been making Baby Cards. What fun!!! I love images of baby anything! This one comes from Rubbernecker Stamps. I just love the stuffed animals looking out the window. Sorry I do not remember what color cardstock I used. I did use my Cuttlebug Swiss Dot Folder for the background and my Square Scalloped Nestabilities. I colored with my Copic Ciao Markers and added a computer generated "Welcome Little One." The ribbon came from Hobby Lobby. You will have to click on it to get the close up deets. At any rate, this card was so fun to make and I have more Baby Cards coming soon.

Have a great rest of the weekend !!!

Image from Artful Inkables

Hey Guys ! Once again another beautiful image from Artful Inkables. This image is one of the stamps from Friendship Flowers. The "bee" is from the set called "Thought I'd Bug You." I used white cardstock and SU's Pretty In Pink Cardstock and topped that off with SU's polka dot Pretty In Pink. I used my Petite Round Nestabilities and Oval Nestabilities. The ribbon comes from Flourishes and is sheer pink. I colored with my Copic Markers and then set the rest of the card with bling using pearls and a Swarovski Crystal.

Gotta run, cause I am working today. Hope you all have a great weekend!!!

Confetti Birthday

Here is another stamp from Unity Stamps. I really love this set because the stamps are big and are perfect for scrapbooking as well as cards. I made this card a few months ago and cannot really remember the recipie...but I remember that I used all SU cardstock and paper. I used my Copic Ciao Markers and Copic Glitter Pens for coloring. For Bling I used Swarovski Crystals on the Birthday Hat and Flower Rhinestones on the side of the card. I also used my Rectangular Nesties.

Once again, I apologize for being so slow to post lately. I am sure you all have had the same thing happen to you in the past. I hope to get moving again once things settle down.

Wishing you all a great weekend and week ahead!

Confetti Birthday

Sorry that it has been so long since my last post. I have sincerely thought about backing out on posting to this blog, only because I have so much going on in my life right now that it is almost impossible to post on a regular basis. This card was made using Unity Stamps
Confetti Birthday. The papers and cardstock are from SU. I used Copic Ciao Markers to color the balloon and Copic Glitter Pens. The ribbon is basic Dot Pink. I used rhinestones to add bling. Of course my Oval Nestabilities and a computer generated Happy Birthday Norma!

Sorry this is so short, but I have to get going again. I hope all of you have a great "rest" of the weekend :)

Unity Birthday Stamp

I just had a strawberry milkshake that I made from strawberry Yogurt...Geez it was yummy! I guess I would have to say that ice cream of any sort is my downfall...but I try to eat the healthy yogurt kind because this has no fat and no sugar...it comes from ECBY...Not TCBY, but ECBY. It is kind of expensive, but it is worth it to me and it has gotten to be a habit now. My other downfall is no sugar lemondade from Chic-Fil-A (sp??). My good friend Debbie has enabled me on both of these treats...Thank you Debs! I would love to hear what your downfalls are...besides this expensive stampin habit of ours :)

I have already given this card to the friend that asked for it and so I really do not remember all the deets, but the cupcake stamp came from Unity Stamps. I really like their stamps because they are "big" and easy to work with. I use SU's Tempting Turquoise for the cardstock and SU's designer series paper for the background. I had some left over embossed shimmery white stripe paper that I used embossing with my Happy Birthday Cuttlebug folder and added some polka dot ribbon and bows. I also used Robin's Nest pebbles for accents. The cupcake was colored with my Copic Ciao markers and I also used Liquid Applique for the icing and sprinkled some glitter on top of that. The "Anna" name is computer generated and on the inside of the card I used the computer to personalize a poem for Anna. Then of course the dimensions to make the cupcake pop.

Gotta run...cleaning house time for me...ugh! Have a great week peeps :)

Another Artful Inkables Image

Here is another Artful Inkables image. I cannot remember the name, but you can go to the site and find it there. The reason I cannot remember the name is because when I ordered stamps from Kristin, she sent me some singles and this was one of them. I just love flowers and coloring this one was so much fun! I know I used SU's Blush Blossom for the cardstock. The other paper is from Michaels. I used my Oval Nesties and colored with my Copic Ciao Markers. I then put Liquid Pearls around the Oval and a pearl and rhinestone to finish off the flower. The Happy Birthday is computer generated and last but not least the Robins Nest Pebbles.

You can click on it for the deets. I hope you like this one. Have a great week!

Hibiscus

It is Friday afternoon and I remembered that I had forgotten to post...so, here me am! It has been a busy week especially at work. And I wish I could say that I was NOT working tomorrow, but I am. I really am blessed to have the overtime and so I take advantage of it everytime I get the chance.

This card is made from Artfulinkables.blogspot.com and it is called Hibiscus. There are soooo many ways you can use these two stamps (the flower and the leaf)...I know I will be using it in a variety of ways. It is just perfect for just about ANY card.

I used my Coluzzul (sp?) to make the outside circle and my Nesties to make the inside circles. I colored the flower with my Copic Ciao Markers and I used the White Singo Pen, Copic Glitter Pens, and a Swarovski Crystal to finish it off. Took hardly any time, which is what I need more of these days...time.

Thanks for your visit and I wish you all a wonderful weekend :)

The Lilac Set

Good Sunday Morning to All!! I hope you all have had a very plesant week. Mine has been quite busy, but very nice.

On this card I used SU's Lovely Lilac and Almost Amethyst for the background. I then used SU's Designer Series "Flowers for You." I stamped the Lilac stamp from Flourishes right on the Designer Paper with Brilliance Black Ink. I colored the image with my Copic Ciao Markers and used Liquid Pearls to highlight the flowers. I used a Martha Stewart Border Punch on the side, Purple Vellum to make the butterflies, also a Martha Stewart Punch, and Rhinestones to the center of the butterflies.

Thanks for your visit. I hope you all have a great week!

Weird Colors ???

I know these are weird colors, but I liked them anyway. I do not know whose stamp this is, but it was one of my first stamps that I ever bought. The card was made a long time ago and I just came upon it while going through my studio and cleaning up, so I thought I would go ahead and post it. I do believe the colors are from SU's "In Color" group Wild Wasabi and Groovy Guava. I also used Chocolate Chip and Close to Cocoa as back ups. I colored with my SU markers and used Swarovski Crystals. I also do not know where the "Love" stamp came from...sry...

I know this is going to sound redundant, but my laptop has now contracted the "Blue Screen of Death." Why is it that when stuff (started to say something else) hits, it comes in droves? Oh well, as a good friend told me many times when going through tough times..."This too shall pass."

I hope you all have a wonderful week and come to visit again when you can. I really get inspired by your comments and all of your wonderful ideas and artwork !! Thanks for stopping by !

Wonder...

if anyone will even remember me ! I have really had a tough time with my computer in the past 3 weeks...could not get "word" going...could not get AOL going...could not even get to blogspot...I am really not computer illiterate... but it seems that when you get a new hard drive...all is completely "lost." And really everything that I had WAS lost. There are worse things, but it has been a "ride."

At any rate I am back and am posting a card using Flourishes "Thank You" stamps. I have been working on Flourishes stamps, because the latest ones are truly beautiful...and that is how I have been using my "DOWN COMPUTER TIME." So hopefully, I am back !

Once again, click on the pic and you can see the deets...I really love how this card turned out, but my photography is still in the making...however, my picture taking skills are going to change soon...so be on the look out :)

Thank you guys for keeping in touch with me and for all of your comments !!! It means so much to me...Have THE BEST WEEKEND !!

Have you ever heard of...

The Blue Screen of Death?....Guess what!!! My puter died last Tuesday with the Blue Screen of Death...I am having it fixed, but it will be at least 3 weeks before I can get it back. So I will not be posting for a while, but I promise to be back...So please do not give up on me...Your comments mean so much...and, I will still be visiting you...Thanks for stopping by :)

The Lilac Set

Hello all ! I have been having computer problems...illness in the family...and other issues going on in my life. Thus the reason for not posting. I know you all have the same issues that just "goes with life." The good news is that all is well now with my family.

This card is made with the "Lilac Set" from Flourishes. It is the Magnolia stamps that I embossed with gold embossing glitter. I used Swarovski Crystals, and at the hand of the fairy, I used a rhinestone heart image. I used my Nestabilities Rectangles and the paper is from Once Upon A Time, Fairy Dust.

The problem with this card is...when I finished and was ready to take the picture, I noticed that I had glued everything upside and outside wrong...The only way I can use this card will be to cut the front of the card and glue it to another cardstock...Oh well, this kind of thing just happens sometimes...

Hope you all have a great week and thanks for your visits !!

Rock-A-Bye-Baby

I hope everyone had a great 4th of July weekend. I know I really had some well-needed downtime. This is a quickie, because I have to get to work. This is another great stamp from Flourishes and it is from the Rock-A-Bye-Baby set. The Picture did not turn out very well...and I am working on that one...gotta get me some kind of Photography software. I used SU's Bashful Blue and Barely Banana cardstock, my Circle Nestabilities, my Swiss Dot Cuttlebug folder, Miscellaneous Baby Paper from Michaels, Blue Satin Ribbon from Flourishes, and Pearls from SU's Pretties Kit. For deets, click on the picture and you can see it clearer.

Thanks for stopping by...I hope you have a great week!

HAPPY 4th OF JULY !!!

These two cards I made in a hurry...Two of my friends have birthday's on the 4th and I only had a little bit of time to get these done. The stamp in the background is one that I won from Lynda Benden. It is from SU and is called "French Flair." This stamp is perfect for many swirly uses. I used Versamark ink and then covered the image with Red Glitter Embossing Powder and then used my heat gun. I punched out the stars from shiny paper I got from Michaels and then used red, white and blue ribbon to add to the patriotic touch. The sentiments were from my computer to make the cards personal and I also had a personalized sentiment on the inside.

Today I am happy to say is my rest day...and I plan on doing nothing but fun stuff...relaxing on my patio with music in the background, reading my latest book, watching a movie, and the best...making cards! I am so very blessed and I hope all of you have a very blessed and happy 4th. Keep safe! Thanks for your visit !

Rock-A-Bye-Baby

I know it has been a while since I have posted...I've been so busy with everything that I haven't been the best blogger lately! But it has been a "good" busy :)

This card was made using Flourishes Rock-A-Bye-Baby stamps. Is this not the cutest?? I used blue cardstock with striped paper from Hobhy Lobby. Then the Rectangle Nestabilities, SU's Pretties Kit for the flowers, and Blue Swarovski Crystals. The ribbon is from Flourishes and it is called Steele Blue Sheer Ribbon. This ribbon is just great for making bows cause it just falls the way you want it to. My very favorite ribbon right now! I finished the stamped image with my Copic Ciao Markers. I hope I am right about this...Jan Marie at Flourishes had these images made from baby images she remembered from her childhood...I think they are just adorable and I know I will use these time and time again. Already my friends at work have purchased cards that I have made from these precious images.

Thanks for stopping by...I hope you all have a great week!

Another Graduation!

The graduates keep on a comin! This card was made for a dear friend of mine, whose daughter graduated from college. Then this past weekend this same friend had a daughter who got married. WOW was all I could think...I shoulda brought my camera and didn't even think of it (sometimes I hate myself). This was one of the most beautiful weddings I have been to. The reception was held at a beautiful house. The flower arrangements were to die for. There was a waiter at almost every door holding a tray of hor d'oeuvres. There was a "grits" room with all the trimmings and another room with shrimp, crab dip, fruit, veggies, casseroles, cheese balls and crackers, marinated asparagus, etc. There were two open bars with every kind of drink you could imagine. Then there was the outside where the chefs were cooking chicken wings, italian sausage, mini hamburgers, etc. The tables with glorious linens and centerpieces were all throughout the house and on the outside, which is where we sat. The band was a mix of jazz, blues and rock...just amazing. The bride was stunning in one of the most beautiful gowns I have ever seen. Her mom did not look bad either...in fact she was just as beautiful!! Anyhoo, this was quite the wedding and I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it.

Oooppsie...I have got to get back to work...Hope you all have a great day and thanks for stopping by!!

Fairy Whimsey

This is a favorite of mine...by Artful Inkables
and it is called Fairy Whimsey. She is just so cute and soft. I used SU's Le Jardin Designer Series Paper, Always Artichoke Card Stock, SU Markers, Versamark Ink and Heat Embossed Dazzling Diamonds for the Butterflies. I used the Oval Nestabilities, White Satin Ribbon and White Sheer Ribbon from Flourishes and a Blue Swarovski Crystal.

More Fairies

Hello All! Sorry it has been so long since my last post...I spent Friday and Saturday going to Fort Walton Beach, Florida with my sister, Ellen. It was my Uncle George and Aunt Barbara's 50th Golden Wedding Anniversary and their children gave them a surprise party that was to die for. There had to have been at least 100 people there and I am not exaggerating. My Uncle George and Aunt Barbara are the greatest! So many people just absolutely love them and it was such a treat to see their happiness. The food was abundant to say the least. They even had a wedding cake for Uncle George and Aunt Barbara to cut and feed each other. Plus a chocolate fountain and just about anything you would think of to eat...including a huge bowl of fresh shrimp. Oh my, I could go on and on...they had a huge tent set up in the backyard with tables and chairs...Uncle George's house is located right on the beach. It is a beautiful 3-story with a back porch that would make anyone envious. I was able to visit with relatives I haven't seen in 30 years...what fun my sister, and I had. When we arrived on Friday, we checked into our hotel room, which was just fabo...with a balcony looking over the beach and the waves just lapping and splashing...what a wonderful sound. We went babysit my Tyler and Elsa Grace so their parents could go out on a date nite...Those kids wore me out!!! Not to mention almost broke my nose...lol...they are just a bundle of energy! The next morning we went and got breakfast and ate on the balcony just enjoying the view. Then we went to the party. Oh...I cannot tell you how good it was to see all of my family there to give tribute to Uncle George and Aunt Barbara.

On to this card...This is an Enchanted Fairies Stamp from Artful Inkables I hate to say it, but I honestly cannot remember where I got this paper...or the embellies. I just remember coloring with my Copic Ciao Markers and SU markers. I also used rhinestones on the embellies. Oh well, so much for a description of this card...just loved this little fairy and I know I will be using all of these faires again and again.

I have one more to post this week and then I will be giving away some "BLOG CANDY!!!" So keep posted.

I hope you all had a great weekend...Thanks for stopping by!

Enchanted Fairies

Here is another Artful Inkables precious fairy stamp!!! Is this not the cutest!! I love the innocence of this little baby! I used SU's Designer Series Paper Flowers for You for the background. SU's Lavendar Lace Cardstock with Nestabilities Square Die. I used my Copic Glitter Markers to color the little guy, rhinestones on his wings and his cap. Liquid Applique for the cloud with one Swarovski Purple Crystal on the cloud. I used a bit of Swiss Dot Ribbon with a SU Pretties Kit Pearl in the middle. I also used my Scor-Pal to make embossed lines above and below the sentiment! Hope you all enjoy!

Enchanted Fairies

Happy Saturday! It is a happy day for me, because I am not working...Yeah! Instead, I am going shopping for a new rug and a picture for my foyer. I have been remodeling my house for the last 4 years and I will be completely done once I finish the foyer. I have to tell you, my house is perfect (for me) in every way. I posted my patio earlier and I will have to take pictures of the other rooms so you can see it. My home is my little piece of heaven and I love just walking from room to room and sighing "Thank you Lord!"

Okay...on to the card. I have used one of the Enchanted Fairy stamps from Artful Inkables Is this not the cutest little fairy? I used SU's Handsome Hunter for the base of the card and some swirly paper I got from Michaels. I used my SU ticket punch for the corners. Some rhinestones for the corners of the sentiment. Some sparkly ribbon, a butterfly charm, and some pebbles. I colored this little fairy with Copic Ciao markers and stickles for the hat. Then cut him out with my Petite Circles Nestabilities. The Sentiment "Wishing You a Birthday Filled with Enchantment" also came from Artful Inkables!

I will be posting more cards from Artful Inkables. I just love Kristin's stamps. They are all just too precious!

Have a wonderful weekend peeps...I know I will!

Darling Dragons

I hope you all had a safe and wonderful Memorial Day Weekend!

My sister and I went to see "Narnia - Prince Caspian." What a wonderful work of art! I love all of the Narnia movies, not only because of the story, but the scenery is unbelievably beautiful. And yeah, I did get a medium sized "extra butter" popcorn and my first fountain Sprite in 6 months. Now THAT was a real treat. I could not eat all of the popcorn, cause it really got salty and gooey at the bottom of the bag. But I enjoyed every morsel and sip!

Here is my next card that I made from Artfulinkables and isn't he a darling? The balloons also came with this set. I used some red mulberry paper that I bought from Hobby Lobby. Stamped the little guy with Versamark and heat embossed him with Red Glitter Embossing Powder. I colored the balloons with my Copic Ciao markers and then used my White Singo pen to highlight and Crystal Effects to give a shine to the balloons. The Red Sheer Ribbon came from Flourishes and I glued a Red Swarovski Crystal to the middle of the bow. This little guy just begs to be hugged. Click to see the deets. I love all of Kristin's stamps. Check out her website at Artfulinkables. She has a great gallery!

Have a great week and thanks for stopping by!

Pond Friends from Artful Inkables

I have a friend, Lynda...She has been a rock for me more times than I can count. It has never mattered what time of night, morning or day that I have called her with problems or sadness because of things that have happened in my life. She has ALWAYS been there for me! However....(and now I am sure she is reading this and thinking...oh no...don't tell them that). She has a tendency to just jump in the pond and swim no matter the obstacles that will pass her way. She thinks only of the moment and not what the consequences might be. She is THE MOST POSITIVE person I have ever known...and finds only the good in others. In that way, she is more blessed than I am, because I am wary and always looking for something that might cause harm or hurt. I made this card for Lynda when her precious Great Dane "Bones" was put to sleep. I made it just because it reminded me of her swimming in the pond with a smile on her face and not even looking at the "No Swimming" sign. Always oblivious to any bad and always just the "happy" person that she is and looking only for the good in others. Oh, I can tell you she has paid many a time...and I have watched with "gggrrrr" and not said anything, because I would never jepordize our friendship. God put her in my life for a reason...and I have been blessed to have her with me. So, there...my tribute to Lynda.

This card was made with Pond Friends from artfulinkables.com (sorry the icon is not working). I just love this little guy. Artful Inkables has some precious, adorable stamps made by Kristin Soboloski. You must visit her site and check out these adorable images. I have more to share later.

Sorry, I gave that card to Lynda and I don't remember much other than the precious stamp...so I have no deets.

Please take care this Memorial Day weekend! Drive safely and have a wonderful time. Thanks for the visit !

Stampendous Ruffled Bloom

What a busy weekend I have had. Yesterday I went to my great nephew, Tyler's (age 5)T-ball game. They lost, but I did not get to watch anyway, because again my great niece, Elsa Grace (age 4), had me by the hand. Or I should say that she had me wrapped! She really does not care to watch Tyler's games, weather it be T-Ball or Soccer...She just want's me to take her to the playground and push her up the slide...get on the see saw, swing, etc. And she knows that I will do whatever she wants, because I love her so much. Tyler was not disappointed with the loss, because from what I heard, he played a great game. Knowing him...I KNOW he did. He is just a sweetheart! At any rate, I woke up around 2:00 a.m. and could not go back to sleep...so I took a "chill" pill and finally slept. When I woke up this morning, I had a "mean" rash all over my arms and neck...I was quite sure the "chill" pill had given me some reaction. LOL...it was a sunburn from being at the game yesterday!

Okay, on to this card...It was made with SU's Ginger Blossom Designer Series Paper and I used SU's Basic Gray stamp pad to stamp the Ruffled Bloom I colored in with SU markers...cannot remember the colors. Used some rhinestones in the middle and used my Circles Nestabilities.

I will begin posting some "precious" stamps this week...and they are too precious to miss. When I am finished I will give some blog candy with a set of these wonderful stamps and some other goodies!

Have a great week all and thanks for your visit!!!

Another Favorite of Mine

This is another favorite Flourishes Stamp. I could color this Siberian Iris in almost any color and it would look just beautiful. Today Flourishes announced the addition of Sharon Johnson to make Flourishes 4!! What a great addition. They have also released two more stamp sets that are to die for and Yeah, I am gonna get them both!

For this card, I used SU's Pretty In Pink Designer Series Paper and stamped the Iris on my Oval Nestabilities. I used SU Markers Pretty in Pink and Cameo Coral then added the Uni-Ball Signo White Pen to the center of the flowers along with Swarovski Crystals. The leaves were colored with SU's Green Galore and Gable Green. I added the Pink Satin Ribbon, which I also got from Flourishes and a heart button from who knows? On the side, I used a Fiskars Border Punch. This is probably one of my very favorites and I will use these colors with the stamp again.

Gotta get to work...Thanks for the visit...Have a great weekend!!

My Last Happy Mother's Day Card

I know it is Monday, the day after Mother's Day, but I had one more Mother's Day Card to post. This card was too easy to make. I just used silver cardstock from Paper and More and White Pearlescent Cardstock from Paper and More. Then I used four different trims and glued them to the White Cardstock. Glued the White Cardstock to the Silver Cardstock. Made a tag, cut it out and stamped Happy Mother's Day from Flourishes. Attached a hat pin from SU's Pretties Kit and WHALA! This would also make a great wedding card. In fact, I used it for a Bathroom Shower just recently. She loved it! This card is one of those 10 minute cards...and think of the possibilities using colored trims...it just goes on and on.

Hope you all have a very Happy Week!!! Thanks for the Visit!

Happy Mother's Day

Hi everyone! (long southern drawl) I swear it must be 89 degrees here! Hot, hot hot! This is quite unusual for May, but whadda ya do? We had a tornado sweep down on the south part of town last night and it was a surprise tornado...The weather service never even got to notify us. One good thing...no one was hurt. Lucky for me, I live on the East side. We got our much needed rain, but no damage.

This card is another that I have used Flourishesstamp from the Siberian Iris set. I love red on white and think it is just elegant! The background paper is some that I have had forever and is some sort of Japanese paper...just beautiful. The ribbon is some that I have had since Christmas of last year. I embossed the sentiment with Versamark and Red Embossing Glitter. I used the Heart Nestabilities...and SU's Pretties Kit for the hat pin. I guess that is all for this card.

I am working tomorrow...just for the fun of it! Not really, I am working tomorrow, because I have a lot of catching up to do at work. Not a bad thing and glad that Mother's Day is Sunday. I am the "luckiest" mother of all time (I know that sounded kinda bad). I have the greatest daughter in the world. She has been my baby, my buddy, my best friend, and my shoulder for most of her life! I just hope that I have been as great a mother to her as she has been a daughter to me.

I'll be posting another Flourishes card Sunday...I cannot wait to hear your comments, cause this one is a beauty, if I do say so myself. Once again, Happy Mother's Day to all of you!!

Flourishes Siberian Iris

I just love this little card. It was just FUN to make. Of course I am going with my favorite Company - Flourishes. This is a little topiary stamp from the Siberian Iris set. I used SU's Ballet Blue Cardstock and Marker for the sentiment, which also comes with this set of stamps. I colored the topiary with my Copic Glitter Markers. I used Organdy Ribbon, which I heated the end to make it curl (got that idea from Running With Scissors' Leslie) Thanks Leslie!! I used small rhinestones on the topiary and a Swarovski Crystal on the flower.

Mother's Day is around the corner and I have made more cards with this Flourishes Set. I hope to share them all very soon. I wish you all a Very Happy Mother's Day and I guess I will be wishing it again, and again and again. You know...cause I have more cards to share...LOL.

Have a wonderful night!!

Pond Friends

Well it's a Saturday and I am not working...Yeah for me! I have a bridal shower to go to and that is my reason for not going into work. It is overtime and I do not really have to go in, but the money is great, so I look at it like it is a blessing, which it really is. I am also going to go to try and stop by my SU demonstrator's scrappin party...plus I get the new goodies that I ordered from her.

I won blog candy from Lynda Benden at Stamp Act. She is such a sweetie...I came home from work the other day and the package was laying at my front door. I was so excited...It is always exciting to get blog candy. Lynda gave me 5 packs of SU Designer Series Paper and the SU stamp French Flair. Now guys, you gotta admit...that is quite a bit of candy. I also received a thank you note from her that is awesome...and I took it to work and showed it off. Such a talent she is!!!

This card did not photo well. However, the stamp is from Artful Inkables and it comes in a set called "Pond Friends." I love this little guy and he reminded me of my good friend Paul, mainly because Paul is constantly climbing the ladder to success. Can you see it, slowly but surely Paul will become an Administrative Law Judge before long. He has worked diligently for this position and it will be well deserved.

I used SU Designer Series paper, Petite Circles Nestabilities, Prismacolor Pencils with Gamsol, Crystal Effects to make the water look real (love that stuff), Wild Wasabi Ribbon, and a little crystal butterfly. If you click on the picture you can see the deets.

Have a wonderful weekend all!

Siberian Iris

This is the Flourishes Siberian Iris stamp. Isn't it beautiful? Of course you know that I am a huge fan of anything Flourishes. I made this card for my friend Kathy's Birthday. On the inside I put a computer generated sentiment. She really was pleased with this card. It always makes me smile when I give a card that I have made to someone and they are wide eyed with "oh my you made this for me?"

It is suppose to rain here today and we really need the rain!! I am looking forward to the rain and to the rest of the day as I will be stamping and that is happiness for me. Wonder if the rest of you feel the same way? For all of you that commented on my patio...I wish I could have a tea party and have you all over to join me. What fun that would be! Thanks for all of your comments. You guys are awesome!!

I used SU's Lovely Lilac Designer Series paper for the background and the scallops were made using the Lovely Lilac Cardstock I used purple Vellum for the butterflies with Swarovski Crystals for the bling. Some rhinestones were glued to the scallops.
