Sharon's With Sympathy Challenge

Sharon Johnson's challenge is to make a sympathy card. So here is my take on this challenge. The cardstock and papers are just from my stash. I used Spellbinders Labels 5 (I think) on the gold cardstock. Oval Nestabilities. I stamped the image from JustRite's Thinking of You in Versamark. Then added Gold Embossing Powder and Heat set it. The ribbon is from Sharon's Store and it is 1.25" Silk Taupe. The charm came from Hobby Lobby. I also cut Vintage Dies with my Cuttlebug to put in the top corners.

I apologize for the photos...it was night time when I took these and the quality is pitiful. But I have set up a new way to take my photos for the future and hope this will work well.

Another short post...I've got some shopping that has to get done today.

Wishing you all a great weekend and thank you for your comments. Greatly appreciated!

Stay Cool from Artful Inkables

Hi peeps! This is another image from Kristin's Artful Inkable's site. I just felt that it was sooo cold outside, that this image was perfect for today. I used Momento Tuxedo Black Ink, to stamp the image. Copic Markers for color, SU's Dazzling Diamonds, Quickie Glue Pen, Flower Soft Polar White, and Snowflakes and DP from stash.

Sorry So Short...I am on my way to work. LOL...what I would give to be able to stay at home all day and play with these adorable images...shame on me...I am grateful and blessed that I have a job...

Stamp Simply Color Challenge 126

Hey everyone! I wanted to play in Sharon Johnson's Stamp Simply Challenge, which is to use the colors Purple and Green in our creation. So, I made this card using Kaiser Lilac Avenue DP, which I bought from Sharon. Both the top and bottom came from the Lilac Avenue DP. I used the Cyclamen stamp from Flourishes Calendar Set 3 and colored the image with my Copic Markers. I sponged around the image using SU's Barely Bananna. I cut the image out with my Spellbinder's Labels 4, added some trim, glittered butterflies, pearls, and a computer generated sentiment.

The card was made for my good friend Debbie whose favorite color is purple! Happy Birthday Debs!!

After we had about 5 inches of snow on Friday (did get the day off), I have a whole new appreciation for people who go through worse weather than what we had...I don't know how you do it!! Gotta run...take care and thanks for your visit!!

Valentine's 4 Kids

Hi Everyone! These are some of the cards I made for Pat Adam
and her drive Cards 4 Kids for Valentine's Day. I think I made about 25 cards for the children. Oh my what fun it was to make these cards, knowing to whom they will go to. I did this last year and had a blast, plus I won ALL KINDS of blog candy! It's not about the blog candy though...it is about sick children and making them smile on Valentine's Day. I hope you all will check out Pat's blog and think about doing this next year. I know I am.
We are under a winter storm watch for tomorrow. They say we will definitely getting snow and it will stick. This is really strange for our part of the country, but hey it might get me off of going to work. Sorry this post is so messed up...blogspot is not letting me put my words where I want to.
Wishing you all the best. Thanks for stopping by and leaving your comments. Prayers are going to the people up north where the snow blizzard is going on!

Flourishes FTTC52E Challenge

Hi Guys! I am on limited time because I leave for work in about 20 minutes. However, I wanted to get in on the Flourishes challenge from Kimberly Crawford to "frame" it. Meaning to frame your creation on a card or other.
I used Flourishes Sweet Peas image on this card...So Beautiful...I also used the Happy Birthday Sentiment from Flourishes Many Sentiments. The cardstock is silver and the DP is from Hobby Lobby. I stamped my image with Versamark on white cardstock and used Silver Embossing Powder, which was then heat set. The colors are from my Copic Ciao markers. The twisted cord I used to frame this gorgeous image came from Hobby Lobby. Can you tell that I spend a lot of time in Hobby Lobby? Anyhoo, I hope you like it.

I am excited that we are getting a Joann's (sp?) and it will be right next to Michael's...OMG...I cannot wait...I think it opens this weekend...good thing I get paid tomorrow.

Hope you all have a great day, I am going to try to get back sooner so I can post another Flourishes Challenge!
