Happy Memorial Day Everyone! May God Bless our service men and women who have fought for our freedom in the
past and now!
I have been trying to stash up on my Birthday Cards so I do not have to rush at the last minute and this is one of them. I used Belles 'n Whistles "A Pen Friend" and colored her with my Prisma Color Pencils and Gamsol. I used my "heart" Cuttle Bug folder for the background. The DP is from Basic Grey's "Offbeat" and the ribbon from SU's Blue Bayou, which matched perfectly. I used SU's Chocolate Chip in back of the Deckled Nestabilities. Then Copper Pearls on the bow and side. The sentiment came from JustRite's Birthday Kit.
Sry so short, but I am spending the rest of my day off having fun with my wonderful family!!
Thank you for stopping by and again, God Bless our Service Men and Women!

Serendipity Stamps May 20th Challenge
Hi there all! I am posting this 2 days earlier than necessary because I will be in the office for the next 2 days and do not know when I will have the chance to post again.
This is a challenge from Serendipity Stamps. It is due out May 20th and the theme is Black and White.
Another reason that I am posting earlier, is to get you all to know what you might win as a prize if you post your creation using Serendipity Stamps on May 20th. The last time I posted for the challenge, I won $25.00 worth of Serendipity Stamps...now, let me tell you that was a LOT! This was one image that I just loved, because of the sentiment. I cannot wait to ink up the other stamps I received! And...I would love to win again, but I wanted to give you a heads-up on the challenge so you would have a chance to win too!
I used black card stock and embossed it with a Cuttle Bug folder that, sry...I do not know the name of then used Doily Dies DL 101 that I purchased from Joan's Gardens using white text paper from Paper and More. I then used my Petite Scalloped Nesties and heat embossed the sentiment with white EB...I added pearls and MS butterfly punched butterflies.
I have a special reason for this card too...my best friend has a granddaughter who has Spina Bifida and she has been in the hospital with surgery. She almost died on the operating table...but God saw her through that turmoil. I told my friend, Lynda, that I believe in "prayer in numbers" and I asked my family and my friends to pray for Jessica. I am blessed, today Jessica is doing well and eating too. Amazing what prayer can wrought!!
Thank you for sharing this simple creation...and Please go by Serendipity Stamps if you want to win some amazing stamps! Remember the date is May 20th! I KNOW you will love what you see there!!

Jerri Kay's Embossing CASED
Hi all! Here is my rendition of Jerri Kay's flowers and leaves. I really like the way the roses turned out using Spellbinder's "Rose Creations." I added SU's black glitter to the centers of the roses. The leaves really did not turn out as beautiful as Jerri's, but I gave it a go anyhoo. I am sure I just need more practice. I bought my Embossing tools: Embossing Pad, 3mm, 4.5mm and 6mm Embossing Tools from Jerri Kay's Paper Boutique. I just love everything this artist creates. The sentiment is from JustRite's Birthday Sentiment Set, which I heat embossed with silver EP. I then cut the sentiment with Nestabilities Petite Scallops. The DP is from my stash. The butterflies were punched from silver glitter paper. If you click on the pic, you can see a more detailed view.
Happy Mother's Day to all of you and thank you for your awesome comments!!!

The Tale of Peter Rabbit
Hello everyone !! I would like to play with Joan's Gardens Tag Challenge. She always has some great creations to show and I really like to buy from her store, because I order, and it is here in no time. I bought this Crafting CD-Rom and rubber stamps from Crafter's Companion quite a while ago. The Peter Rabbit rubber stamp came unmountable and so I fixed that. I stamped the image twice for each tag/bookmark and colored him with Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol. I then cut him out three times and using dimensionals put him on top of the other one. I used Papertrey Ink's bookmark die. The cardstock came from Crafter's Companion. I used a Martha Stewart Punch for the top of the bookmark and a flower for the bottom. The silver tassel came from Hobby Lobby. This was just a fun little project to work on.
I hope you have all been enjoying your weekend. I know I have! Yesterday my sister and I did our usual grocery shopping. I came home and when I came home I went blog browsing. My very favorite paper crafting artist is Jerri Kay Jimenez at A Touch of Grace. She is probably everyone's favorite artist. Anyhoo, she made some beautiful flowers using Spellbinder's Dies and I decided that I would try to make them myself. I had fun playing until one of my dearest friends and I went to see the movie "Water for Elephants." (Great movie and book by the way).
