Papertrey Ink's A Year of Flowers - Roses

Hi all! This is going to be short because I have to finish with some of my projects that are due tomorrow. This is another favorite set of mine. The card was made with Papertrey Ink's A Year of Flowers - Roses stamps. I also used Papertrey's Bitty Dot Basics and Bitty Box Basics patterned paper (methinks Aqua Mist). The Birthday sentiment is also from Papertrey. I used Nestabilities Deckled Ovals. Stamped the image with Versamark and embossed with silver embossing powder. I used my Copic Ciao Markers to color with and added some tiny rhinestones to the flower. The silver pearls just adds to the card.

I bought the template for that cake piece from Waltzing Mouse Stamps, but I have to give credit to Julia at Create With Me...as she is the one who has inspired me with her beautiful creations. I used Aqua Mist ribbon and some rick-rack from my stash to surround the cake piece. The bow is SU's Chocolate Chip. I used the Cuttle Bug Embossing Folder with swirls to make the top look like icing...


This was a fun project, and I get to share it with my friend Denise tomorrow. Her B'day is Friday. We always go out to eat at the same place every year...for my B'day, Kathy's B'day, Sharon's B'day, and Denise's B'day. It is a special treat for all of us. Great friends and fun times!!

Flourishes and Cuttlebug

Hello all! I hate that this photo didn't turn out as good as I wanted it too...it was night time when I took it...but, you still get the gist and if you click on it, I think it will make the image bigger.

I do not know the name of the CB folder as I threw the packaging away. It is just perfect for sayings like this one from Flourishes. It is one of my favorite stamp sets called Rock A Bye Baby. I had a baby shower to attend and she knows she is having a girl...so what better way to show how happy I am for her than to give her something special like this little card. I used Paper Trey Ink's 2008 Pink Bitty Dots and stamped the sentiment with Versamark and then used White Embossing Powder then heat embossed it. You may not be able to see, but it has little stars around the saying "Welcome Sweet One." I used White Raindrops to add dimension to the embossed image and sheer pink May Arts Ribbon. Of note, I used the envelope die cut from Paper Trey Ink to match the card...oooohhhh how I love this die. It is sized perfect for A2 envelopes. It just makes giving a handmade card even more special when the envelope matches!

I wish I had pictures of the Diaper Cake and Banner that my friend Debbie and I made for this shower... It turned out perfect and was quite the hit of the shower.

Another PaperTrey Ink Favorite

Hello Peeps! Wishing all of you great dads out there "Happy Father's Day!"

Today I am showing one of my favorite sets! The card uses Papertrey Ink's Year of Flowers - Violet Image. First off, I used their Tin Types Impression Plate on white text paper...these plates are fabulous and if you haven't seen what they have done with their dies and plates, well you are just missing out! I used mine with the Cuttlebug and it is too easy peasy! I used Papertrey's 2008 Bitty Dot Basics in Purple. I then used Spellbinder's Nestabilities Peony and colored the outside with my Silver Krylon Leafing Pen. I cut out my Violet, which I stamped and colored with my Copic Markers twice and put them on dimensionals. I also colored the leaves and cut them out and put them on dimensionals. For the center of the flower I used a spacer with a purple rhinestone in the middle. I used Spellbinders Long Deckled Edge Nestabilities for the sentiment, which also comes from the Papertrey Year of Flowers - Violet set. I then used a template from Lauren Meader's My Time Made Easy called Pucker Up...it was so easy and it took no time. I again used the Tin Types Impression Plate on white text paper added the silver pearls and the ribbon came from my stash.

JustRite's Plant a Little Love

Hi all! I hope you have all had a relaxing weekend. I certainly have had one. Yesterday I went to the grocery store with my sister, Annie...We always go together, because we have so much fun! After putting up the goodies, I went shopping for a couple of outfits, which I found in under an hour! So that part was wonderful as well. Then I came home and watched movies with my pal, Piper. Today I have been cleaning the house and feel like I have accomplished something.

Anyway, on to the card. I made this back in April. I sized it at 5 1/2 x 5 1/2" and I used the Spellbinder's Nestabilities Circle and Scalloped Circle. The DP came from Joann's. I used Versamark ink and Silver Embossing Powder and heat set the images. I colored with my Copic
Markers and added some silver pearls that I received as a prize from my cyber buddy Silke Ledlow (Thanks Silke, I am SO enjoying these beauties!!!)

JustRite Baby Stamps

Hello all! My goodness the weekends certainly go by fast. I had a great time with friends of mine on Saturday. We went to a "flea market!" Oh boy it was hot!!! But there was quite a nice breeze every now and then. I almost broke down and bought a puppy. It was the cutest darn thing and now I am glad that I did not get one. My Piper would have been just too jealous! She is an Australian Shepherd and she is now 7 years old. What a smart dog!!! We practically talk to each other, we know each other so well. One of these days, I will post a picture of my "bestest ever friend!" That is IF I can get a decent photo of her. She hates the camera and runs as soon as she sees me bring it out. Then we went to a casino...Oh my what fun that was!! One of my friends won $57.00 and the other friend won $15.00. Me? try 20 cents...LOL!!! After that we had lunch together. I cannot wait until we can do this again.

On to the card. Of course I used one of the JustRite Baby Oval stamps using the 2 1/4 X 3 1/16 inch Harmony Classic Oval Stamper II. I used Versamark Ink and Silver Embossing Powder. I colored the pacifier with Spica Glitter Pens. Used the Spellbinder's Petite Oval Nestabilities using silver cardstock for the background. The paper is from Paper Pizzaz. The ribbon is May Arts, which I believe I bought from Flourishes. I also used some white patterned ribbon that I got from Hobby Lobby and a Martha Stewart Lace Punch. The flower is a Prima.

I have to get cooking...I am making Camp Stew in the Crock Pot tonight and cornbread in my black cast iron skillet (love that thing!). So I need to get a move on. Thanks again for your visit and I wish you all the very best this coming week!

Birthday Card and Gift

Good morning all! My prayers go out to all of the family's of the Veteran's who have been lost in war. I spent much of this morning reading about many of those who have died in Iraq and Afganistan and the families and loved ones they left behind. I feel fortunate and grateful for
all of my blessings thanks to those who have fought for our country so that we can be free.

I made this card and little purse for my sister to give to her friend at work. For the card, I used white metalic cardstock from Paper and More. This cardstock is 110 # and though it may be a bit expensive, it is worth every penny to me because it is so strong and beautiful. I then put Cuttlebugs Distressed Stripes on metalic text paper, again from Paper and More and then added some DP from Paper Pizzaz that I bought from Michael's. The gorgeous swirled pearls came from a dollar bin at Michael's (can you believe it)? I added MS butterfly punch at the top left. The ribbon came from Sharon's Ribbon Store. Isn't this pink just beautiful? The flower was made with PaperTrey Ink's Beautiful Blooms II Dies, which I made with the different sizes. Man, I love PTI's dies.

The little purse was perfect to hold the gift card my sister put inside. I made it with Spellbinder's Nestabilities Labels One and Petite Nestabilities Circles. As you can see I used SU's Pretty In Pink cardstock and I used the same DP and Ribbon as I made for the card. You can find this adorable Template at Create With Julia dated January 7, 2010. You really need to check out her blog...She has some of the most amazing creations and I love all of her little altered boxes, baskets and purses!

For my card I used Flourishes Calendar Set 2 "Morning Glory!" I stamped the image on Metallic White Cardstock from Paper and More with Versamark and heat embossed it with Silver Embossing Powder from Ranger and colored with my Copic Markers. I then sponged around the image with SU's Almost Amethyst and added some tiny rhinestones. I cut the image and the background out with Spellbinders Labels 4. The background was glitter paper that I bought from Hobby Lobby...ya gotta love that paper! The DP also came from Hobby Lobby. The sentiment came from Flourishes "Many Sentiments" and it was stamped on Spellbinders Oval Nesties with Versamark and heat embossed in Silver Embossing Powder from Ranger. The ribbon is 1.5 Silk Purple Ribbon, which I purchased at Flourishes called Violet.

My flower is simple...using Spellbinders Peony Nestabilities and Lavendar tissue paper in two sizes. I simply cut 6 of each size, put a brad through the middle and fluffed it up adding a little bling to the middle of the flower.
