Into The Moonlight & Fictionally Inspired
Artful INKables has come up with images that go with the "Twilight" Theme. If you have read the books from the "Twilight Series," then you will remember Bella's "Why am I covered in feathers" story line. For this card I used Swirly Silver Cardstock that I bought from Michael's. I used the Large Deckled Mega Rectangles from Nestabilities. Versamark Ink with Silver Embossing Powder that I heat embossed. I used Bridal Ribbon and a Buckle Slider from Spare Parts the Paper Studio. I also added some white feathers.
Honestly, this photo is really not showing how pretty this card is. You can click on it to see the deets. It is really very sparkly !
Hope you all have a wonderful week!!! Thanks for your visit!!

Music In My Heart
Talk about a fun card to make...This image comes from Artful Inkables and I suppose that because I love dogs so much it made it even more fun to work with. I used Silver Cardstock and the CB Music Folder. Round Nestabilities to stamp the sentiment. The Labels from Nestabilities. I colored with my Copic Ciao Markers and the lovely ribbon came from Flourishes. I then put a sparkly silver dot on the bow. For the sparkly silver on the speaker I used stickles. Dunno where I got that sticker above the image.
I hope you peeps have enjoyed these last few images as much as I have had making them. Friday is going to be a "Blog Hop!" with new releases...Trust me, you DO NOT want to miss that. There WILL be CANDY on Friday !! Also we have been having some featured designers at the Artful Inkables Blog, so check that out!

Music In My Heart
This was such a fun project to make. I love these images from Artfulinkables. I started out with a triangle box, which I CASED from SCS. The rest was easy peasy. I used ribbon that I purchased from Artfulinkables. I colored with my Copic Ciao Markers. As always I used Swarovski Crystals on the music notes and a flower set of bling from Michaels. I put gold beads in the corners and on the bow. The box is filled with my fave Almond Kisses....and no, I did not eat them this time. I took them out of the box and gave them to my DD. Kristin has tons of ribbons and charms of all kinds. She also sells acrylic blocks in different sizes. So you really need to check it out. I have already made a list of all the other things I want to purchase at her store.
This precious pre-teen is so typical of any girl when it comes to listening to music. She was fun to color and just an all around fun image! I know I will use her when giving cards to the pre-teens in my family, especially for birthdays!
There is also this pre-teen boy playing music in this set. PERFECT for a young guy. All teens love music and these images are too darn cute not to share for any day. Think about a card made just for encouragement...that is something I always did for my DD when she was growing up. I even put it in the mail so that when she got home from school, she would get the mail and find something special just for her. She still remembers those cards and how much it meant to know that I was thinking about her during the hard times of her teen years.
I used SU's Yo Yo yellow for the cardstock and music paper from my stash. SU's Tempting Turqoise and ribbon that matched from stash. Again, I colored with my Copic Ciao Markers. Used a MS punch for the corner and silver brads from SU, that I stickled.

I cannot believe I left out the Musical Note Charm that is hidden, if you look, on the brad to the left...just another booboo on my very limited skills...LOL
Thanks for taking the time to visit me. If you click on either pic you can see the deets much better. Have a wonderful week !Thursday, June 11, 2009

Flourishes Timeless Tuesday SCS Frame It Challenge
One of my very favorite Stamp Companies, Flourishes is giving us a challenge to make a card where the image is "framed." This is a FTTC18 Challenge
Here is my card using one of the images from Flourishes "Sweet Pea" set. This is one of the most beautiful sets I have ever seen. Of course if you go back in my blog, you will see many, many images from Flourishes. I just love what they do !!!
I made this card using lavender cardstock from Michael's. The DP I also purchased from Michael's and it comes in a 12x12 book from Hot Off The Press, called "Flowered Handmade." Some of the prettiest papers I have every seen ! I used flowers from Michael's and rhinestones that I received as blog candy. The purple cardstock was pierced with an Oval Ornare Stencil that I purchased from Joan's Garden. I also purchased the Ornare pricking pen and the mat from Joan. I just love her little shoppe and she has sooo many wonderful things you can order there. The image is of course from "Sweet Pea." I used Copic Ciao markers and shaded around the image, which was stamped in Tuxedo Black Momento Ink.
You have got to admit...this is a gorgeous image ! Thanks Flourishes for this challenge and for your lovely images !!!

Music a la Carte
Hello all!! I hope you have enjoyed a good week...and know you are looking forward to the weekend...I know I am !
I am so excited to share this next card with you. It comes from Artfulinkables. You have seen the other instruments that I have designed around. This one really makes me happy. I just hope the photos are going to give it justice. I used shimmery cardstock from Michael's and the other papers also came from Michael's. I embossed this image with Ranger Silver Embossing Tinsel and then heat set it. The rhinestones are from Michael's. Then I added a bow with ribbon that I bought from Flourishes. I think it is called "sea foam." I added a spacer and brads that I bought from Michael's as well. I used Robin's Nest Pebbles in Silver, and whala !
Now...Kristen at Artfulinkables is have a Spring Cleaning Event. She is giving a wonderful discount on her Bare Rubber Sale. Check it out...cause I don't think even the INKgirls can participate...It is just too good to be true !!!
