Hi Guys!!! I know it has been forever since I have posted, but the holidays have kept me quite busy. This year, I opted to hand make all of my presents for my family and friends. I will be posting more (hopefully sooner)! I will say one thing...it is a joy to make something from your own hands and see the joy that it brings to the people you love and care for...so that is why I have not had the time to post in quite a while.This card and gift was for my sister Annie's Birthday celebrated yesterday. I scored the cardstock with my Scor-Pal and cut a rectangle of red foil. Then I used my Spellbinder's Large Deckled Rectangle to cut out the shape and embossing it. The stamp is one of my favorites from Belles 'n Whistles Belle with Teddy-Back. I colored with my Copic Markers and added stickles, which you can't see here...unless you click on it to get a closer view. The tag is from Spellbinders also with red velvet ribbon running through it. Annie was computer generated. The flower was yellow, but using my Smooch Cosmic Pink, it turned the perfect shade of red! I also used some Crayola Red spray that I got from Toys R Us.
I put lights in the bottom of the sleigh and added gold and red glittered Christmas balls that I glued together. Then I just added the other embellishments and the Santa on top. It shows up better when it is on a counter top or under a lamp...I did not have this plugged in and so you cannot see the real beauty of it. But, I think my sister really liked it.

I think when they receive a handmade gift, they cherish it even more, because they know it is made with love. Oh, goodness, I can see what's kept you so busy! I haven't made any gifts this year and I'm still having a hard time fitting everything in. Lots of get-togethers with friends, and when it's at your own house, well... you know you have to clean, too. I wouldn't give up a minute of it. When all is said and done, your friends and family are what's important. How thrilled the folks on the receiving end must be with your beautifully hand crafted gifts!
