Thank you to Sharon Johnson at No Time To Stamp!

I apologize again for not posting...this Holiday season has taken a toll on me and my family. We all caught a stomach virus over the holidays and even today we are trying to get well.

I Totally CASE'd this card from Sharon Johnson. I saw this a year or so ago on her blog and found these cards at Wal-Mart...so I copied her, because I loved what she did with it! The ribbon is, of course, from her store 100% silk white. The stamps are from JustRite Stamps "Christmas Treasures." I used Versamark to stamp and heat embossed the image with gold embossing powder...The Spellbinders Nestabilities Circles and Scalloped Circles were also used.

Then I thought I would post another of the presents I made for family and friends. This was a glass square ??? bowl that I purchased at Hobby Lobby and I added some greenery and embellishments from stems. The manger scene I also purchased at HL...and I placed it on top of green, red and white decorative accents with white lights added, so you can plug it in and the lights show off the colors of Christmas.

Every one that I gave this to, just loved it...and, it gives me many more ideas for next Christmas :)

I hope all of you had a Very Happy Christmas!

Hugs ~

I think...Christmas Angel from Sarah Kay

Hi all...another long...not posting time. I have, like I said made too many handmade gifts for Christmas and it really cut into my time with my cards. I enjoyed making all of the gifts, but...miss my cards :)
This image is what I think is called Christmas Angel from Sarah Kay. I used Die-Cut Die Pad from K&Company for the background paper. I used Versamark to stamp the image and then embossed in gold embossing powder. Such a pretty image I think.
The presents I made for my friends and family were made from what I bought from Hobby Lobby...BOX...I think it is called...I added a string of 35 lights and then put Wedding Petals in white to cover the wires. Then I added some trim to the sides. The ribbon was bought from Hobby Lobby (can you tell I love this place?). Gold ribbon around the box to make it festive and elegant!

I hope you enjoy these creations I have made...I was thrilled with the actual reactions I got at home and at work.
Thank you for sharing and for your comments and visits!!

Annie's Birthday

Hi Guys!!! I know it has been forever since I have posted, but the holidays have kept me quite busy. This year, I opted to hand make all of my presents for my family and friends. I will be posting more (hopefully sooner)! I will say one thing...it is a joy to make something from your own hands and see the joy that it brings to the people you love and care for...so that is why I have not had the time to post in quite a while.

This card and gift was for my sister Annie's Birthday celebrated yesterday. I scored the cardstock with my Scor-Pal and cut a rectangle of red foil. Then I used my Spellbinder's Large Deckled Rectangle to cut out the shape and embossing it. The stamp is one of my favorites from Belles 'n Whistles Belle with Teddy-Back. I colored with my Copic Markers and added stickles, which you can't see here...unless you click on it to get a closer view. The tag is from Spellbinders also with red velvet ribbon running through it. Annie was computer generated. The flower was yellow, but using my Smooch Cosmic Pink, it turned the perfect shade of red! I also used some Crayola Red spray that I got from Toys R Us.

I put lights in the bottom of the sleigh and added gold and red glittered Christmas balls that I glued together. Then I just added the other embellishments and the Santa on top. It shows up better when it is on a counter top or under a lamp...I did not have this plugged in and so you cannot see the real beauty of it. But, I think my sister really liked it.

I will be back with more later. Have a great week and thank you for stopping by to visit!!

Paper Trey Ink and Creative Cuts and More

Hi all!!! I am so excited to share these little creations with you...I had an absolute blast making them! I probably over did it with the embellishments, but I couldn't help myself...I just got carried away. If you click on the picture, you can probably see the deets better.

I used SU's Real Red for the cardstock. Then, using my Circle Nesties, I used Paper Trey Ink's "A Wreath for All Seasons." I used the wreath on the card and just gold embossed it and added some red rhinestones. I used gold paper using my Circle Nesties...(I found that gold paper at Hobby Lobby, Geez I love that store, oh...and that store loves me too). Then I used a doily behind the gold paper. Found some poinsettia's that I have had stashed for over a year and added some Diamond glitter and gold glitter dots . Next comes my fave...the sleigh from Creative Cuts and More (CC&M). I actually ordered it in a beautiful dusty gold, but it did not match the gold on my card, so I covered it with this gold paper. Used my circle nesties to gold emboss the Merry Christmas, which also came from PTI's "A Wreath for All Seasons." added a little holly and berry embelli. Put some Flower Soft Polar White on the bottom of the sleigh for reasons we know...and more poinsetties at the top...then I found these cute little packages at, of course, Hobby Lobby and put them in the sleigh.

What else can I say? Fun, fun, fun!!!! I have a whole lot of more CC&M die cuts that I cannot wait to use...they are SO inexpensive and make an addition to a card even better!!! Go by CC&M and check out all of the great stuff they have...another plug for them...they have this AMAZING Super "Killer Red Tacky Tape in different sizes...I have 1/2", 1/4" and 1/8". They have also just added some White Tacky Tape that you can just tear off. Just think, I could have put candy or cookies in that sleigh to give to a friend at work that would have made it even more special...but I liked the packages...shoulda found a Santa, but where would he sit? This is also for the Caardvarks Challenge here!

Have a great week peeps and thanks for your great comments and visits...I will be making my rounds again soon!

Goodbye to my Coworker

Hello all ~ I am posting this card that I made back in May of 2010. I know that I CASED it from someone, but I do not remember who...so if you stop by and notice that it was CASED from one of your cards...Please let me know, so I can give you credit.

I used SU's Basic Gray cardstock for the card itself and SU's Blue Bayou was glued next. I took my white cardstock and used Paper Trey Ink's (PTI) Woodgrain Impression Plate using my Cuttlebug. The circles were punched with different sized punches using SU DP and PTI's 2008 Bitty Dot Basics and Bitty Block Basics. I used some dimensionals on some of the dots. The sentiment was computer generated. All in all a really fast "male" card...and that was just what I needed...took maybe 20 minutes.

This is short, I am making Cheeseburger Pie for my DD and her Hubby tonight and I have to get it in the oven. This is one of my favorite dishes and if you want, I will be happy to share this recipe with you.

Here is wishing you all a great "rest" of the week!!!

Artful Inkables Halloween

Hello all! I hope you have had a great weekend! Mine was a lazy one...I watched horror movies...cleaned a little and went shopping for shoes...I tell you shoes can really be expensive. I really wanted to buy Skechers (sp?)...Geez these shoes are comfy...expensive, but very comfortable....I am planning on a new exercise deal...and walking is one of the best exercises I know.

On to the card...the image on the card is from Artful Inkables...it is one of my all time favorites for Halloween. The coffin is from CC&M...I used DP paper from Hobby Lobby...Heat embossed the house and "Boo" with black embossing powder and then used Orange Stickles for the windows

The stars and moon were stickers...On the coffin I used webbing (angel hair) and the ghost was another image from Artful Inkables...The jack-o-lanterns were also stickers. You cannot see it from this image, but I used Basic Grey ribbon around the sides of the coffin.

Here is wishing you all the best of weeks ahead...Thank you for stopping by to visit and for your comments.

Belles 'n Whistles

Is this not the cutest image? It is called Little Witch with Broom. I used some scrap paper for the background. Glitter paper angled. I stamped the image with Tuxedo Black Momento ink and colored with my Prismacolor Pencils using Gamsol. I also added some stickles, but you cannot really see it in this picture. Try clicking on it and maybe then you can see. The Glitter Dots came from Hobby Lobby and I put a rhinestone on the bow in her hat.

I did not realize that it had been so long since I last posted. Thanks to all of you who have left such great comments. I really do appreciate each and every one of them.

The weather here is perfect...my favorite time of year. With temperatures in the 40's in the morning and 70's in the afternoon. Just breathtaking!! I am so excited I have the day off tomorrow for Columbus day...maybe I can find time to clean rather than play like I did today :) Hope you all have a wonderful week ahead!
