Blue Bells from Serendipity Stamps and Challenge

First of all, I apologize for the photos, it was late when I photographed them and really too dark for it to show up as pretty as these tags are. For some reason, I am really having a time with blogger and I cannot seem to get it right...I have spent way too much time trying, so I have given up and just hope you understand. Hi everyone! I am getting brave and taking on the Serendipity Challenge that is due tomorrow night at midnight. The Challenge Subject: Card for a teacher or coach. I am hoping that my "gift tags" will qualify. As I have told you all before, by sister, Annie has the gift of planting anything and everything and it always blooms or heck, survives. I am not so lucky in that area. Everything I have ever tried to plant eventually has an early demise, to put it nicely.

Well, with spring here, we have a "Farmer's Market" and Annie and I visit many times when the springtime comes. A few weeks ago we visited the Farmer's Market....and she talked me into getting some planters and impatiens (flowers) because I have so much shade in my yard, she said that the impatiens flowers would thrive in my front yard. So we went to Home Depot and got some potting soil...did you know that Miracle Grow is awesome? Anyhoo, we came home and she showed me how easy peasy planting those darling little blooms were...I must say, I felt kinda "dumb" when I saw that there was nothing to it. She gave me instructions for watering and fertilizing...and here me am...a "planter" of flowers!!! I hope they will live under my care and with her instructions.

I bought this little round box at Michael's and covered it with DP paper. I used Spellbinders Largest Circle die and made six tags that fit perfectly into this round box. I then began to work on the "Blue Bells" image from Serendipity Stamps. Isn't this just gorgeous? I stamped the image with Momento Tuxedo Black Ink. and colored with my Copic Ciao Markers. I added tiny rhinestones to the image and used a butterfly punch on glittered gold paper to add to the image. I also sponged SU's Barely Banana around the image and then I added some lace and gold string around each tag. I covered the glued string with another butterfly on the back so it would look pretty.

Shoot, I forgot to take a pic of the tags opened up...although, they are blank inside. I hope you like my little gift to my sister...I really think she will like it! Please DO click on each photo...it shows up so much nicer than what you see here.

Try and take the time to visit Serendipity Stamps. I KNOW you will find images that you will love. I am in the process of ordering more right now, because they have a Buy 3 get one FREE deal through April 19th, I believe.

Thank you for stopping by! I am SO looking forward to the weekend...and I know you are too! Have a great one :)

Basket of Flowers by Serendipity Stamps

Hi there all! What a beautiful Spring day we are having here. I woke up to weather in the 40's and now it is in the low 70's with a breeze! I actually opened the windows on my beautiful patio and sat in my wicker swing while drinking coffee this morning! I never find time to do that, but it was so beautiful I just had to enjoy! I did post pictures of my patio back in April of 2008. I call it my haven. I have a fountain behind the wicker swing and love nothing more than to turn it on and listen to the falling water. I painted the fountain myself...but you can hardly tell in those old pictures. At any rate, I feel blessed to have a place that I love to relax in. My card and the little notebook is made with the "Basket of Flowers" from Serendipity Stamps. Isn't it lovely? I used DP from Memory Box Gossemer and Carddstock from Papertrey Ink, I think it is called Mellon Berry. I colored with my Copic Ciao Markers and used some glitter pens to add shine. The butterflies were from MS and from the dollar bin at Michael's...also, the notebook was from the dollar bin at Michael's. I also added Copper Pearls. For the flowers I used Spring Mix from Flower Soft. I am saving this card and notebook for someone very special as a Birthday token. I know she will enjoy it! I tried to get a better photo of the notebook so you could see how easy it was to make...Just took DP paper and glued it all around and added the butterflies and Copper Pearls. Thanks for stopping by all! Have a great "rest" of the week!! Try as I might, Blogger will not let me make paragraphs...I have tried 4 times and I am now giving up, sry this is so jumbled !

Belles 'n Whistles Fairy Play

Hi All! I bought this darling image from Bells 'n Whistles Stamps. I just love all of their images and I have posted 3 of them since December. I want more!!!

Anyhoo, this image is called Fairy Play. She probably is a tooth fairy, but I thought she would do just great as a Happy Birthday Fairy. I used Paper Trey Ink's cardstock called Ocean Tides along with their Ocean Tides Swiss Dot Ribbbon. The designer paper is from Memory Box "Frond." The flowers came from my stash. I used a Spellbinders Nestie, which I cannot remember the name of (sry). I actually for the first time in forever, colored this fairy with my SU markers and then used a glitter pen on the bag some of her dress, the wand, and her wings. I also used Diamond Stickles on the wings. The brads again are from stash.

The little gable box is from Creative Cuts and More. I will fill it with goodies of some kind when I give this to my next birthday recipient. If you haven't yet, you need to visit Creative Cuts and More...they have such wonderful little packages that have already been scored so all you have to do is fold and use their Red Tacky Tape, which is a wonderful product and they have all sizes...plus they have just come out with White Tacky Tape which you can tear.

Thanks for your visits and comments. Have a great "rest" of the week!

Serendipity Stamps "Floral Frame"

Hi peeps!! I was asked by a friend to make a Golden Wedding Anniversary card and this what I came up with. The DP came from Hobby Lobby and isn't it just beautiful? I stamped the Floral Frame from Serendipity Stamps in Versamark and then used Gold Embossing Powder, which I heat embossed. The rings came from my DD's stash. The Gold ribbon beneath the frame is from my own stash. I punched the butterfly out of the same DP and put a gold glitter dot in the middle.

I have been busy cleaning one room at a time at my house. The patio was done this morning...I had a friend pressure wash the beautiful slate floor and now it looks so great I just wish I could stay out there and swing and sing...LOL...yes, I really do that and the acoustics out there makes me sound like a rock star...I sure hope the neighbors can't hear me though :)

Hope all of you are doing well! Thanks for all of your sweet wishes and making me feel great about posting again. The comments I receive are from some of the best in this crazy, but fun craft!!!

Butterfly Dreams from Papertrey Ink

Hi Everyone ~ I am back with another favorite of my Papertrey Ink collections. This one is called Butterfly Dreams and it has so many stamps in this set that you could make a mountai of cards with just this one set. As you can see I haven't been able to post much this year because of so much going on with my work, myself and my family. One thing I get angry at myself about is that all of a sudden someone has a Birthday, Baby, Wedding, etc. and I make the card/gift and forget to take a photo of it because I have to give it to the person the very next day. Recently I made a picture frame with a lovely creation in it for a friend at work...it would have been perfect for me to post it, but she had already given it to that someone that she wanted it made for. So, a lot of my not posting is my fault. Sorry bout that.

This card was made for a darling young lady at work that I have been friends with for years. She loved the color yellow and that is why I came up with the yellow theme. I cut two of the largest butterflies with a butterfly die from Papertrey and the smaller butterfly I just cut it out. I colored it with my Copic Markers and then put some "Ice Stickles" on top. I used the yellow glitter buttons from a pack I bought from Hobby Lobby on the corners and then put yellow stickles around the Spellbinders Labels Eleven with the sentiment in the middle. The ribbon and the gold pearls came from Hobby Lobby as well.

I hope you enjoy this little card...Mary, who I made the card for, just loved it. Here is wishing you all a great new week and I hope I can get back on the bandwagon and start posting more often. Thanks for stopping by !!!

Belles 'n Whistles and Creative Cuts and More

Hello to all ~ I had to share this adorable clown image by Elizabeth Bell! Is she the cutest ? I used Spellbinders Deckled Edge Dies and stamped her with Momento Black Ink, then colored her with my Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol. I added Cuttlebugs Swiss Dot Folder on the silver cardstock for the background. I also used Spellbinders Lattice Borderabilities using KaiserCraft Lilac Avenue Collection DP. The ribbon is swiss dot that I purchased at Hobby Lobby with a silver sparkle dot on top.

The Gable Box I purchased from Creative Cuts and More. So, so easy to put together using there wonderful Tacky Tape!! I added the flowers using the Lilac Avenue DP using Paper Trey Ink's Beautiful Blooms II Beautiful Die Collection. Inside I would have put a gift card, which this is the perfect size for it. This was made for my bestest buddy at work for her birthday...her favorite color is purple. She loved the clown card...the Gable Box I did not give to her, because I had other stuff that I wanted to give her...Please stop by Creative Cuts and More and check out all of their great stuff! Their prices are awesome and they have soo many ideas.

The weather here is improving...with the mornings in the 40's and the afternoons in the 70's. I felt like a different haircut yesterday and on a whim and had it cut just a little too short...I do not even know if I like it yet...but, it will grow out if I do not like it. I have been spending a LOT of time lately with my DD and her family in the last couple of weeks. What a Blessing and Just Memories for me. Please have a great week ahead and I hope you enjoy my latest post...I am working on some new projects...and hopefully will be posting more regularly again. Be safe and take care and thank you, as always for your sweet comments...it makes my day :)
