Red Apron for a Kitchen Shower

This is a card that I made for a friend, Denise, at work. Her daughter is getting married next June and someone had given her a kitchen shower. Red is her daughter's favorite color and Denise bought her a red mixer. As you can see I put Anna Belle's name on the pockets of the Apron and used the Nestabilities ovals for that. I drew the apron and cut it out. The rest of the card just came together. The paper and the ribbon is from SU. The bling from Hobby Lobby. The picture is not great, so you would have to click on it to get the details. At any rate, the card was a great hit at the shower and Anna Belle was very pleased. Thanks for the visit. Hope you all have a great day :)

Quick Post as I am on my way off to work. The base of this card is SU's Basic Gray, then Purely Pomegranate and then Soft Sky Designer Series Paper. I used the Square Nestabilities and Scallops, Stamped the Damask and the Many Sentiments Stanps from Flourishes in the Purely Pomegranate Stamp Pad. I used Purely Pomegranate Ribbon, Swarovski Crystals and a silver Buckle from I cannot remember where. Once again, if you click on it you can see the details.

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!!! Thanks for the Visit!

Oopsies...

I forgot this last Easter card...I meant to post it on Easter, and well...My family and I had such a wonderful Easter that I just forgot to post. My sister hid around 120 (probably more) Easter eggs in her beautiful backyard for her grandchildren Tyler (5) and Elsa Grace (4). These kiddies had so much fun finding eggs. Then we played baseball and badmiton (sp?). After that they all came over to my house for the FOOD. I mean we had quite the spread. The fellowship was the best part of the day for me. I am so blessed to have such a wonderful family!

On to the card...the Hoppy Bunny and the sentiment is from High Hopes Stamps called Hoppy Easter. This is one of my favorite stamps to color and I know I will be using her again next year. In my last post of this bunny, I said that I used liquid applique on her beard...I meant her chest...got a few laughs out of that one. The paper is So Saffron from SU and Bali Breeze Designer Paper from SU. I used Tempting Turquoise and So Saffron ribbon from SU. My square Scalloped Nestabilities really added dimension. The butterfly and flower on the smaller sentiment square was really a mistake...but I thought it looked perfect under the Hoppy Easter. I colored the bunny with Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol. Used Chunky Glitter from SU for the chest and tail.

Okay, I think that covers it...Thanks for your visit! Have a great day!!!

High Hopes Easter Egg Balloons

Wow! I didn't realize that Easter is this Sunday. I mean, I did realize it, but not thinking about posting my Easter cards, because I am having the family "Easter Brunch" over at my house on Sunday and I have been busy making an Easter center piece, getting my house clean, and getting the food ready, well some of it. Most of it will be done Sunday morning. I am so excited! We are having an Easter Egg Hunt over at my sister's house for her two grandchildren. We are hiding at least 120 eggs filled with coins, candy, etc. Tyler and Elsa Grace (ages 5 and 4) will be so excited, they always are. Then everyone will come to my house for the food and the kids will have so much fun watching Piper and Lily, my DD's puppy run around the back yard. I hope to take pictures and share with you all.

This card was made with a purple cardstock base and of course Easter paper that I got from Hobby Lobby. The stamp is from High Hopes Stamps. Just to show how generous they are, they gave me this stamp for free just because I had ordered the Hoppy Easter Set. The pink ribbon came from Flourishes and the Easter Egg Buttons came from Jesse James. I used the oval Nestabilities and Scalloped Nestabilities. I colored the Egg Balloons with my Copic Glitter Markers and painted the bow with a Copic Marker as well.

I wish you all a very Happy Easter ! Thanks for stopping by :)

Hoppy Easter with High Hopes Stamps

Well, I just cannot sleep tonight. Or I should say this morning. So I got up and read all of my email, which took about an hour. Then I worked on a "Thinking of You" card. And then decided I would post my next Easter Card. I am really proud of this one. The bunny comes from High Hopes Stamps. It is one of the cutest stamps I have ever seen. I colored it with my Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol. The paper is Giogami (sp?) that I bought from Hobby Lobby on clearance. I used the square Nestabilities for the background and Tulip buttons. I used Liquid Applique for the bunny tail and beard and three dots for the whiskers. Click on it to see the details.

K...guess the sleeping bug is coming back to me, so I'm gonna go shoot for another try at night time sleeping. I wish you all a wonderful day today, tomorrow, and the next.

Hoppy Easter

Talk about a tired toopee...I have been doing a lot of overtime lately. Today I worked another 8 hours. Hey I gotta do something to support my rubba addiction. It was also very warm today, about 79 degrees. We sure have been having weird weather lately. It is probably the cause of all the flus and sicknesses that have scattered across this city. The Bradford Pear trees are blooming along with so many other flowered trees and bushes here. It is just breathtaking. I live in the part of town where it is noted to have people flocking this time of year just to see how beautiful, with the dogwoods, crepe myrtles, daffodils, pansys, etc. blooming.

Okay, as for this card, I used pink card stock as a base and SU's designer series Spring Fling patterned paper for the background. The pink satin ribbon I bought from Flourishes. The hat pin, pearls and crystals came from SU's Pretties Kit. I used oval Nestabilities and the sentiment is from High Hopes Stamps. The flowers came from a bunch I bought at AC Moore and I put Swarovski Crystal in the middle of each flower to give it some more bling.

There will be more Easter Cards coming soon. Thanks for your visit. Hope you all have a wonderful weekend :)

Easter Time To Celebrate

Hi all ! I mentioned the last time I posted that it was suppose to snow after the day before being very warm, or did I say hot. Well sure enough it did snow and then we had sleet. This weather has been unbelievable and it is my guess that that is why everyone around here has had the flu or some kind of awful upper respiratory virus. My entire family has had it with the exception of me. I guess it is because I take SO many vitamins. Who knows, I am just glad I haven't gotten the bug. Sorry for all of you that have had it as it seems that most of our blogging friends have been sick with it.

I ended up taking this pic outside because even with my photo tent it just did not show the detail. I used the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots Folder which I got from Eclectic Paperie. I am gonna love using this one on a lot of cards. On top of this I used my decorative scissors to cut and detail the band across the middle. I used the Circle Nestabilities which I won in a contest from Flourishes to stamp my three Easter eggs that I bought from High Hopes Stamps. I colored the eggs with my Copic Glitter Pens. I then used my Oval Nestabilities for the sentiment which came from Many Sentiments from Flourishes. The flower is from SU's Pretties Kit and I colored it with Certainly Celery using my SU markers. The Butterfly Crystal is from....dunno. I am quite sure it was in a bag of other colored butterflies that I bought from Michael's. This card really looks so much better in person. Click and you can see the details.

Thanks so much for your visit :)

Flourishes Damask and Many Sentiments Stamps

Hi all ~ Today the weather was almost hot...tomorrow they say we will have snow....hmmmm. I guess we will see about that one. I am working tomorrow, so there goes half of my weekend. That is an awful thing for me to say. I am really so lucky to have overtime and I know it and am thankful for it. Heck, where else would the money come from to buy all of this expensive stuff that I HAVE GOT to have to make cards and other sundry items.

Anyways, on to the card, which is pretty self explanatory. I used the Damask Stamp and Many Sentiments from Flourishes. I used SU's Blue Bayou and Soft Sky Card Stock and Designer Paper, Ribbon and Blue Bayou Classic Ink Pad. The Silver Buttons are from Jesse James and the Heart Charm is from who knows...I love the font for the Happy Birthday Sentiment. Once again this card was so easy to make.

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend :)

SU's Oh So Lovely Stamp

Oh Wow, did it ever rain here last night...I mean stormy weather! I was worried about tornados, but we didn't have any. Thank you Lord! The best part was waking up around 4:30 a.m. and listening to the end of the storm, which was just the calm rain that you love to wake up to.

This card was made for my friend Sharon...in fact I had to make 2 of these cards, because when she took the first one home, her mom wanted it for a friend of hers. So I had to make another for Sharon. What a compliment!

The flower stamp is from SU's Oh So Lovely. I colored it with Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol Mineral Spirits, then used my Copic Glitter Pens to top it off. You can see the glitter better if you click on the picture. I used SU's Rose Red Designer Series Paper and SU's Petals and Paisley's Designer Series Paper. Spellbinders Square Nestabilities, Ribbon from SU, leaves from a bunch of flowers I got at Hobby Lobby, Swarovski Christal, and a button from a miscellaneous package I have had for quite some time.

Thanks for looking and have a wonderful week!!

Flourished Elements and Flourished Words

Good Moring to all. I got a break and am not working today....Yeah!!! So, this morning I am going to my great nephew, Tyler's soccer ball game. He is 5 years old and such a cutie! When he gets older, the girls are gonna swoon all over this boy! Usually I don't really have the time to watch much of the game as his sister Elsa Grace (4 years old) has me "wrapped!!" So we do whatever Elsa Grace wants...She gets bored watching the game. Usually it's "Aunt Bee, let's run!" What can I say, I do my best :) Hopefully after the game, we (meaning my sister, her daughter, Lisa; and my DD) will go out for lunch afterward and then maybe go shopping or to a movie. We have done that before and it is SO VERY MUCH FUN! Just the 4 of us.

On to the card here. I used Basic Gray Card Stock for the base and added some silver paper and white swirly paper I picked up from Michael's. I stamped Flourishes Flourished Elements and Flourished Words in Versamark and then embossed with Silver Embossing Glitter. I used silver ribbon on the right from A.C. Moore (you would think we could all get a commission for pushing A.C. Moore, Michael's, etc. products). I used a button I had from when we don't know. The flower was from a bunch from where we don't know. And of course the oval Nestabilities I bought from Flourishes.

I wish you all the best of weekends. Thanks for stopping by :)
