Flourishes Timeless Tuesdays

I really hope I am not too late with this post. I wanted to get in on the Timeless Tuesdays with Flourishes. They have such great images and I have been a fan since the very beginning. I used DP from Hobby Lobby and Flourishes Stamps from "Many Sentiments and Flourished Words." I used Nestabilities Labels 4 and pearls...lots of pearls, which is what this challenge called for. I really did need a sympathy card and I am very pleased with how this one turned out. Please click on this photo, as it really looks better IRL.
As always I am running...wishing you the best of weeks and thank you for stopping by!

Rock A Bye Baby from Flourishes

I love the images that come with this set from Flourishes. It reminds me of vintage images from long ago! Guess you can tell that this one is for a baby girl! I tell ya, there are a lot of babies being born lately. I am just lucky enough to have friends that I get to share these happy times with! I used DP paper from Hobby Lobby and a MS punch at the bottom. I used flower confetti and dotted the middles with pearls. Colored with my Copics and put some pink stickles on the hat and the outfit. If you click on the pic, you can see it much better.

Wishing you all a great week ahead and thanks for coming by!!!

Sympathy Card

I really love this card that I made for a friend whose father died. However, I am not happy with the photo...also, my computer is really messing up...and I hate it, but I think I am in for a new one. The photo is blurry...must get Photos for Dummies...cause this is not working. If you click on it, maybe you can see it IRL...

I used Spellbinders Labels 4 and Oval Nestablilities. The sentiment is computer generated. Retired SU DP, MS Butterfly Punch, baby pearls, and Ivory May Arts Ribbon.

I am sorry that this is so short, but my weekend has been quite busy and I have not had the time to do this right. Starting tomorrow, I am back at work and this being the last week of the month, I have too much to do.

I did receive some wonderful blog candy from Sabrina (I will post her blog next visit when I show you what I won). She is a great artist and cannot wait for you to see what I won!!

Have a wonderful week everyone!

Graduation Card

I made a couple of these graduation cards for my friend Debbie at work, who had two of her cousins that were graduating. I used white cardstock and the paper background came from Hobby Lobby. I used my Lables Four from Spellbinders Dies and the Cuttle Bug Swiss Dots Folder. The graduation cap charm came from Hobby Lobby. The sheer black ribbon from Flourishes and the gem from my stash (which means I do not know where I got it). The sentiment was computer generated. The smallest Labels Four is done on sparkly paper. Click to see.

Yesterday was a really fun day for me. My sister and I went grocery shopping together, which we do every weekend. Then we went to Lowe's and she bought a door knob and I bought another embellishment tool box. Actually, I think it is really for nails, screws, etc. There are nine drawers and they are the perfect size to hold all of my Flower Soft jars, Embossing Powders and rubber stamps. I get so excited when I come across another way of organizing my "stuff." I have a feeling that most of us in this craft love to organize. When my studio gets really a mess after not having time to clean, that is the one room I really love cleaning, cause I am also organizing. I dunno, could be OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder)...LOL...I have been told that it runs in my family.

Then my sister and I spent at least 2 hours in Books-A-Million. I could live in that book store and so could she. After that, we went out to eat a scrumptious meal. We always have such a great time together. I am blessed to have her in my life. (If you see this Annie, you owe me for putting you up on a cloud!)

Here is a wish that you all have a great week ahead! Thank you for stopping by!

Seasonal Scenes with Flower Soft

Hello Everyone! This is my first time using Flower Soft, which I got from Joan's Garden. Working with Joan is a really great experience. You order, you get it! Plus the fact that she has an awesome personality and she is just as sweet as she can be. She has many things for sale at her blog site. And I can say that lately I have been buying quite a lot from Joan!

This card was made using an image called "Seasonal Scenes." It came from Kristin's Artful Inkables. I stamped the image with Momento Tuxedo Black. For some reason I really like the way this ink takes to water color paper, which by the way came from Flourishes. This paper is THE VERY BEST water color paper that I have ever used! So check it out peeps. I colored with my Copic Ciao Markers and then very gently put the Flower Soft Glue, which I bought from Joan. After having run my fingers through the Flower Soft I sprinkled it over the glued areas and shook the rest back in my container. And TA-DA!! I used Pure Pomegranate from SU and the blue is from SU's Soft Sky. The ribbon is also Pure Pomegranate and the rhinestones are from stash.

Here is a closer picture of the Flower Soft...and if you "click" on either picture, you can see more of the deets!

Thanks guys for taking the time to check out my fun "happy" stuff...Wishing you all the very best of weeks!!

I love anything House Mouse

House Mouse stamps are just too darn cute to me! I love to see what you guys can do with these images. They are images that are never "retired!" They just live on forever.

I made this card for a friend of mine who had a baby boy named Ethan just a few months ago. What a joy for her family...which, by the way, had just had a baby girl named Riley a few months before Ethan who was born by another daughter. Both babies are beautiful and healthy! What "joy" the Lord has blessed this family with.
I scored the outline with my Scor-Pal and added Swarovski Crystals. I colored the image with Prisma Color Pencils and Gamsol. Used Labels 4 with dimensionals. The Blue Ribbon comes from Flourishes and is called Steel Blue. The charm came from Hobby Lobby and if you click on the photo, you can see that the charm is a teddy bear. If I am wrong...then I am blind...in reality, I am legally blind...wonder that I can do this work...LOL! The good Lord must love me a lot! I work best without my lenses or my glasses...that way, you would see me with my eyes about an inch away from each card I make....Am I not the luckiest to be able to do my favorite thing and have such a problem with my vision? Yeah, I think so!
Wishing you all the very best of weeks to come...your comments make me smile everytime, so thank you!
