House Mouse ~ Berried

Hi Peeps! What a day I have had. First of all the weather has been lousy with lots of rain. I was at work very early and had to leave after a few hours, because the weather was looking pretty bad. Then when I got home, it stopped raining. I was kinda happy, because I wanted to work in my craft room. So I started a box template that I had been working on using some of my best cardstock (remind me not to do that again). Messed up the box, wasted that cardstock and my time. I guess I should chalk it up to being a lesson learned.

I made this card for a friend of mine, actually she is my boss...but we have been friends for a long, long time. I used the House Mouse Berried stamp and had a blast coloring it...used SU's Purely Pomegranate cardstock and the ribbon as well. I used some left over DP...and cannot remember the name, but it certainly went well with SU's PP. I stamped the image on Spellbinders Labels 7 using Momento Tuxedo Black ink and colored the little guys with Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol. I put the sentiment from Artful Inkables on a Spellbinders label and topped it off with the 3 pink rhinestones to the left. I love House Mouse!!

Hope all of you are doing well and staying safe! Thank you for your visit and many Blessings to you all!

Post Card Challenge from Serendipity Stamps

Hi everyone!! Hope your weekend has been as gorgeous as ours has. I spend yesterday getting some shopping done. One of my favorite places to go is the Farmer's Market, where they have every kind of fruit and vegetables you could ever want. Grown here in Alabama. They also have every kind of plant, bush or flowers. At any rate, my sister and I had a blast. I bought a new hanging fern for my front porch and some impatiens (sp?) for some pots that I am going to plant and place around my front porch. I wish I was, but I am not skilled in gardening...but I have shown you pictures from my sister's beautiful gardens and I hope she will send some more so I can again post here.

The challenge today is from Serendipity, where we are to make a postcard with mostly their stamps. I love Serendipity images, especially the garden variety. This one is called Adirondak Chair # 712QCL and I thought I would just make a very simple post card. I used Momento Brown Ink for the chair, sentiment and dragonflies. I then used my Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol using a blender stump to color just a little of the image. I sponged around the card and done! I really do like how this turned out. Hope you do too!!

Have a great week and make it a safe one too!! Thanks for stopping by!

Just Rite A Breath of Spring

Hello All ~ I forgot to post this card at Easter. It is one of my favorites, so I am posting it now. Of course I used Just Rite Stampers A Breath of Spring Tulips. I used Metalic White cardstock from Paper and More, my favorite cardstock. The DP is from Lilac Avenue, which I purchased from Sharon Johnson's store. I used Spellbinders Classic Ovals Nestabilities and Scalloped Nestabilities for the background of the Tulips. I colored with my Copic Ciao Markers. The tiny butterflies are punched with yellow sparkle DP from Hobby Lobby and I got that mini punch from the Dollar Bin at Michael's. (Don't ya just love Dollar Bins)? The Swiss Dot ribbon also came from the Dollar Bin at Michael's and I slipped that through one of Spellbinders Labels. I used SU's Perfect Plum ink for the sentiment, which came from High Hopes stamps and the Pebbles came from Robin's Nest. You can click on the picture to get a better view.

The weather here has been absolutely glorious in the 40's in the morning and the 70's in the afternoons. Yesterday I spent my morning watching my great nephew, Tyler, play baseball and of course my great niece, Elsa Grace had me "wrapped" (she always does have me wrapped). She and I blew bubbles and walked and talked during the game. Great fun! The most wonderful part is the fact that I can tell they love me so much. I am so very blessed!!!

I would like to request a favor ~ Please say a prayer for someone I love very much ~ His name is Paul ~ and he just lost his brother who was the father of 4 young children. My prayer is that God will give Paul the strength to move on with his life and that those children will be able to know God and grow in the way the Lord would want them to. Thank you all for your support!!!

Easter Bunny from Serendipity Stamps

Hi Everyone! I am so glad the weekend is here! Of course, being Easter weekend, I have not had time to do any stamping. Just making Easter Baskets for the little ones in my family. So much fun! And tomorrow is going to be a busy day because it is Easter Sunday.
I am posting 2 cards using the same image! And it doesn't get any cuter than this little bunny, which comes from Serendipity Stamps. The image is called Sleeping Bunny 983E. I used Momento Tuxedo Black Ink to stamp the images. For the 1st card I used Nestabilities Blossom Die and Petite Circle Die. The Easter Greetings sentiment came from the dollar bin at Michael's, as did the swiss dot ribbon. The cardstock and DP is from SU...but I don't remember which colors, sry! I colored both images with my Copic Markers and on both cards I used Polar White Flower Soft on the bunnies. The first card has a butterfly bling attached to the ribbon and I used a MS punch for the side. For the 2nd card I used DP from Joann's and Spellbinders Classic Frame, Nestabilities Labels 1 Dies and some pebbles.

I wish you all a very Blessed Easter Sunday! Thank you for stopping by!
