Deer Friends from Artful INKables

Hello to all and sorry for my late posting...I have had that upper respiratory virus and it still has me down. I got ready for work this morning...made it there, and then it hit me...no energy...I felt like I had been "sapped" (is that really a word?) anyways, you know what I mean...So I left work and came home...I have spent the majority of my day in bed...well, the doc said that rest was the most important thing...I should have listened.

At any rate, on to my card...This set is called "Deer Friends" from Artful INKables. Is this little girl not the cutest image? And the saying is just perfect to go along with it. I have more cards coming with other images from this set...It is one of my very favorites...You guys have got to run over to Kristin's Blog and/or Shop and see what precious, adorable, elegant images she has there. I swear I think I have almost all of her images...And I cannot wait to ink them up...It just about takes no thinking when trying to design around these cuties, because it just falls together.

I used miscellaneous paper that I bought from Michael's. Stamped this deer on DP from Michaels. I used the Nestabilities Labels 1 (I think). Colored with my Copics. Found a leaf that I bought from WalMart and used a Dress It Up glittered button to glue it down on the card. I used Nestabilities Labels to put the sentiment on. Martha Stewart leaf punch and flowers from Hobby Lobby. I also used my corner punch to round off the layers and give this a softer look.

Here is a closer look at the flowers and leaves. If you click on the pics, I think it will show up bigger so you can see the deets.

Thanks for your visit...I cannot wait for you to see what I have coming up...I have had the MOST fun with Kristin's images

Rubbernecker Baby Boy

I really hope that I have not posted this card before...I cannot remember if I did or not. At any rate...if I did, well I did...I just wanted to post something before this weekend, as I am going out of town for a while and hated to not post anything til I get back. This image is from Rubbernecker and I have used it sooo many times, I cannot even remember how many times. It is quite useful for baby showers. I used SU's Bashful Blue Cardstock and some DP from Hobby Lobby. The sheer ribbon is called Steel Blue from Flourishes. The pebbles are from Robin's Nest. I colored the baby bottle with my Copics and sry I do not remember the colors I used...I also used my Scor-Pal to make lines around the DP. The girl I made this for was super excited when she saw it and it was passed around the room, which has given me more cardmaking work than I really needed...Funny, sometimes I get a pressured feeling about making cards that people have requested...but then again, I soo enjoy this craft...that I end up smiling when I am finished with each and every project.

I have some Artful INKable projects coming, but I haven't had the time for photographing...My whole family has had some kind of respiratory flu bug for the last two weeks, and there just has not been time for my favorite hobby...Oh...and what about my job...well, I have taken a lot of time off (leave)....Thank you Lord I have that option.

Hope you enjoy this last post...and until I get back...Have a great end of the week !!

Hoppy Easter from High Hopes Stamps

I have spent over 2 hours on the phone with ATT to get my computer fixed...when my modem crashed back 6 months or so my system has been like dial-up...slow, slow, slow. At any rate the time was worth it, cause it is now back to fast DSL...ya gotta love this new technology.

I just love this stamp from High Hopes...I have used it before and will use it again and again...every Easter. I used what I think is oragami paper and the Labels 2 Spellbinders Nestabilities, Pink Ribbon, Copics, and I think I used Liquid Applique for the tail and beard...You will have to click on the pick to see it better!

So sorry that this is so short...I still have work to do...that is my job work...seems like the only time I get to stamp is at night, cause I am always working...hey, Thank the Good Lord I have a job...He has blessed me more than 10 fold...and I wonder sometimes...it seems like all of my loved ones from heaven are helping the Lord out and they are giving me more happiness that I have ever known...K...now I am getting sappy...I do think you all know what I mean though.

Thanks for your visit and have a wonderful weekend !!!

Artful INKables Berry Picking

Hi To All! Just want you to know that this photograph is really, really not a good one...In person or IRL...it is soo much prettier. I call this my "Gift Box" and I plan on putting a candle in it when I use it to give to someone...I made this out of "pure scratch"...I have never made a box before and I was really pleased with this one. It took a few times for me to get it just right, but eventually I did get it right. I used 12x12 cardstock in royal blue from Hobby Lobby...scored it and folded and then used 'very tacky glue strips' to adhere the box together. I did the same top as I did the bottom. The DP paper is from Michael's. I used my Rectangle Scalloped Nestablities and the Rectangle Regular Nestabilities. I then heat embossed the Berries from ArtfulInkables new "Berry Picking" stamps. I lastly added a beaded trim that I have had in my stash forever and the ribbon came from Hobby Lobby...added a pearl to the middle of the ribbon and whallah!

You have got to love this "Berry Picking" set from ArtfulINKables...I have two more cards that I have made with this set and will show you these in the future...for now, though...I am excited to say that this month I will be making cards and "stuff" from Kristin's PRECIOUS "Critter Country" and "Deer Friends." I am so excited to begin playing with these stamps...they are just too darn cute! Gotta add another statement...All of my followers have made me feel like a million dollars with your sweet and wonderful comments...To think that I have inspired you has made me just tooooo stinkin proud of myself. Thanks times ten to all of you for your comments !
Oh, and I think you can click on the pics to see a better close up.

Hope You all have a wonderful weekend...I hope I will be stampin :)

Post A Note from Artful INKables

I love this stamp...it is so versatile and there are so many ideas running through my head about what I can do with it next. I haven't done green in a while and I wanted this image to be framed in green...so, without further ado...I used Stampin Up DP for the background and the scalloped nesties. I stamped the image in Momento Tuxedo Black and then colored with my Copic Ciao's. I added some tiny rhinestones to the center of each flower, ribbon that I had in stash and Robin's Nest Pebbles in green. Kristin at ArtfulInkables has some wonderful stamps...There is such a variety from whimsical to elegant to just plain fun!! Go on over to her blog and see the latest tutorial...it is too cool!!!
Thanks for stopping by!

Post A Note from Artful INKables

Hello all...What a week I have had...guess 'busy' would best describe this one. I seem to be on the go all the time these days. However, I have to admit my 'on the go' is always a good thing. I am so blessed.

This card is made with Artful INKables Post A Note Set. I really want to take time to try different versions of this stamp...and I will with time. I used SU DP...for the background...Spellbinders Mega Rectangle Dies. Copic Ciao Markers, White Glitter (dunno why...just did). Bling from my new stash that I won from Rubbermaid
Ribbon is from stash...

I wish all of you a very wonderful weekend...and thank you for your visit!

Berry Picking by Artful INKables

First of all, I have to tell you...IT IS SNOWING IN ALABAMA!!! My sister called me at 5:45 this morning and told me that it was snowing...I looked out the window and there it was...the most beautiful large flakes...I just went outside on my patio (which is enclosed) and swang on my swing watching the beauty of it all! We very rarely get snow here and if we do get it, it usually does not stick, but it is sticking today...
On to this card...The cardstock came from Pat Adam at Rubbermaid where I won all of that blog candy. The DP is from SU. I used Berry Picking from Artful INKables
This young lady is so cute and I colored with my Copic Ciao Markers. The flowers are from the Pretties Kit SU. The buttons and the sparkly dots from Hobby Lobby. The butterfly came from Michaels. I used my Labels One Nestabilities (I think that is right). I tossed the package...I am just lovin this stamp set! Check out the other cute stamps from Kristin's Shop. I have so many of them and I cannot wait to ink up these adorable stamps...Her pricing is amazing too!

Gotta run...wishing you all a great week...now it is time for me to shop in the snow :)
