Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge FTTC51

It is the end of the month and time for a guest challenge designer! This week Flourishes challenge host is Pat Adam. And here is Pat's challenge written in her on words. "For this week's challenge be inspired by the letter P. Sounds a bit crazy, but not really if you think about it for a bit. I'm thinking pink, pearls, poppies, purple, punches, and piercing.

This is my take on the FTTC51 challenge...using pink and pearls. The cardstock is SU's Pretty in Pink. The DP is from Paper Pizzaz Handmade Flowers. Is that not the most beautiful paper? I used pearls in the corners. My oval nesties for the framed background after running it through my Swiss Dot Cuttlebug Folder. The sentiment is computer generated. The flowers came from Michael's and the butterflies were made with my MS Butterfly Punch. If you click on the picture you can get a better view.

Please visit Pat's Blog she is hosting a Valentines for Children's Hospital Drive. Last year, I made about 75 cards for this event...and I had a blast doing it. Just thinking of how the children would react when they opened the Valentine Cards I made. Nothing feels better than giving!! Pat is definitely a giver!!! If you have time, I hope you will make some Valentine Cards for these children. You can find the information at the top of Pat's blog! Also, I would love to see what you all come up with.

Sorry I have been MIA from commenting on my favorite blogs...I had 3 Birthdays in December, Christmas, and 3 more Birthdays in January...so I have really been busy!

The weather here is sooo up and down...one morning we will be in the teens and that afternoon we will be in the 60's...so a lot of people where I work are having sinus and cold issues. I have been lucky so far.

Again, thanks for your comments and I hope the rest of the week is a good one for you all!

Flourishes Timeless Tuesday A Little Late

Good Morning to you all!! I am a little late posting this challenge on my blog...but I'm glad I took the challenge. Silke Ledlow challenged us to use this sketch. This is Timeless Tuesday FTTC49, which was for last week.

I used SU's Brilliant Blue Cardstock, miscellaneous papers, Petite Circle Nesties using sparkling blue cardstock that I bought from Hobby Lobby. The ribbon is great, but I cannot remember where I got it. The butterfly, I am sure I got from WalMart. I put Rhinestones around the circle and blue Rhinestones on the Crocus flowers to make it look like dew drops (I think it worked). I colored with my Copic Ciao Markers. The image is from Flourishes A Year of Flowers Calendar Set 1.
I hope I can find time to play Timeless Tuesday again...In the meantime, I am late for work...so I gotta get going! Have a great rest of the week and thank you again for your visit!!!

Feel The Love Challenge from Flourishes

Hi to everyone! Flourishes is beginning to show the sneek peaks of their new releases for January. Today's release is just adorable and perfect for Valentine's Day, or for Birthdays, Get Well's, Friendship...and I could go on and on. Hop on over to the Flourishes Newsletter so you can get the deets...you are gonna love what you see!

The challenge is to show some Love. So I made this card using Flourishes "Lace Heart." You have seen me use this image time and again...but it is one of my favorite stamps and to me, nothing says Love like this image!

I got the red glittered paper from Hobby Lobby. I heat embossed red tinsel embossing powder on the image and sentiment. I used the Spellbinders Heart die to cut my image out. The ribbon came from Sharon Johnson's Ribbon Store. I just ordered almost evey color she had in this size ribbon because it is the very best that I have ever used. It is 100% silk. I also placed several red rhinestones around the image and on the sentiment, which comes with the Lace Heart set. Do click on the image to get a closer view.

Thank you all for stopping by...You comments just make my day!

Artful Inkables Peaceful Wishes

It is 17 degrees here in Bama and tomorrow we will have snow! Not a lot of snow, just enough to put a smile on our faces! As you know, we do not get much snow here, but when we do, it's a fun thing...Probably because we are never snowed in. At any rate this is unseasonably cold for us. I wonder how the people up north deal with so much snow. I admire you for it!

These cards I did for a swap back in December, when I played for Artful Inkables. The stamps are absolutely perfect for heat embossing...imagine all the colors you could use with these images. Just elegant and simple.

I used Gold Cardstock, White Cardstock, Spellbinders Snowflake Nestabilities, Versamark ink, Gold Embossing Powder, Gold Ribbon, and Rhinestones. Super simple! I hope you like it.
