Siberian Iris

This is the Flourishes Siberian Iris stamp. Isn't it beautiful? Of course you know that I am a huge fan of anything Flourishes. I made this card for my friend Kathy's Birthday. On the inside I put a computer generated sentiment. She really was pleased with this card. It always makes me smile when I give a card that I have made to someone and they are wide eyed with "oh my you made this for me?"

It is suppose to rain here today and we really need the rain!! I am looking forward to the rain and to the rest of the day as I will be stamping and that is happiness for me. Wonder if the rest of you feel the same way? For all of you that commented on my patio...I wish I could have a tea party and have you all over to join me. What fun that would be! Thanks for all of your comments. You guys are awesome!!

I used SU's Lovely Lilac Designer Series paper for the background and the scallops were made using the Lovely Lilac Cardstock I used purple Vellum for the butterflies with Swarovski Crystals for the bling. Some rhinestones were glued to the scallops.

Graduation

The weather here has been amazingly beautiful. I will have to post a picture of my patio so you can see why I enjoy this kind of weather so much. I have enclosed my patio and just had new windows put in. The kind where you can have the windows up, or down. The door I had installed is awesome and also has a window that slides up or down. I have a wicker swing and a fountain (my favorite piece) that I painted. The floor is slate of many colors and is probably the best part of the patio. Everyone who comes over just ooo's and aaahhh's about the floor. I also have a table and 2 chairs in the middle of the patio. I love to come home from work and turn on the fountain and swing...oh and sing. That is my rest time...Now that I have described one of my havens in my house...I guess I had better go figure out how to post pictures of it.

I have a lot of graduations coming up and this is my first card for my friend Kathy's oldest daughter, Kelley. I used SU's Mello Moss for the base and LeJardin Designer Series Paper...some of my favorites. Kelley's favorite color is green and I think this card suits her. I had the Celery Ribbon from a long time ago. I cut out the cap after drawing several I finally came up with what I thought looked really good. I used a computer for the font, Swarovski Crystals and a tassel I bought from Hancock Fabrics. If you click on the picture you can see that the cap is all glittery...where I used Iridescent Ice embossing powder.

Another version of Flourishes Heart

Happy Hump Day! It is Wednesday and it is cold here. You wouldn't believe the crazy weather we have been having. I don't mind the cold, it is just when one day it is 80 degrees and the next it is 30 degrees. I think that is why so many people are getting allergies and flu like symptoms at work. I've been lucky and have not had any of it.

I know you have seen this stamp before...I participated in Flourishes week of posting and this is another card I made for that fun time. I used white metallic card stock from Paper and More. My Swiss Dot Cuttlebug folder, Gold Ribbon from A.C. Moore, Heart Nestabilities, Versamark and Gold Embossing Powder and Gold Swarovski Crystals to finish it off. I am off to work. Thanks for stopping by.

Flourished Elements and Many Sentiments

Hi everyone ~ Another short post as I am keeping a friend's puppy and I have to watch what she is doing at all times. She is another Aussie with one blue eye and one brown eye. Very, very, significantly ACTIVE pup! So here is a quick and very short post.

This is a card I did for this past week's Flourish Fun. The base is SU's Pretty in Pink cardstock. The patterned paper from Hobby Lobby. The Ribbon and the Stamps from Flourishes. The pearls from the SU's Pretties Kit. I used Versamark and Pink Embossing Glitter. the Baby Bootie Charm, I've had for some time now.

Have a great weekend and thanks for the visit !

Flourishes is Having a Party!!!

I just now found out that Flourishes is having a party!!! Check out Flourishes!!!
Would anyone out there like to win FREE stamps from Flourishes?
If so, check this out!!! It’s a week long contest, running all this week — how fun!!!
And there will be some NEW RELEASES to share on Wednesday — three of them!!!

And another fun event happens on Wednesday, too!!! Flourishes is revealing their new Guest Designer! So be sure to keep your eyes opened on Wednesday, but you can get started trying to win those free stamps already today!!!!

I used the Flourishes Damask stamp and Many Sentiments. SU's Pretty in Pink cardstock, SU's Basic Brown ink, Oval Nestabilities, SU's Chocolate Chip Satin Ribbon, and miscellaneous Polka Dot Ribbon and a button from who knows.

I'm hoping I can get a couple of more cards in before the end of the week. Just think...NEW RELEASES...I know that means trouble for me! As you all know, I am a huge fan of Flourishes and I not only love their stamps, but the special way you are treated when you order. They wrap your goodies with a bow and everything and it is like getting a present.

Hope you enjoy!

Love these colors...

It is 6:00 a.m. and the rain is coming down...This is a good rain, the kind that you love to hear. No thunder, just a steady downpour. And we really needed this rain. I love waking up to mornings like this...especially because I do NOT have to work today! Yeah!

On to the card...I used SU's Blue Bayou for the base and then Soft Sky Designer Series. The ribbon is white satin and the blue I got from WalMart. The flower is from the Pretties kit and I colored it with Soft Sky. I used the Nestabilities round petite circles and scallops. The stamp is Stampendous Flowerfly...You would not believe how many times I use this stamp...it is just a favorite of mine. I used turquoise glitter embossing powder and a Swarovski Crystal to top off the flower and antena...Did I spell that right?

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend...Thanks for the visit !
