My Sister's Garden

I have got to share these pictures of my sister's garden. She took after my mom, in that, she had the green thumb when it comes to gardening. She is as much a fool about gardening as I am about Paper Crafts. My mom was the "queen" when it came to roses, especially, but I remember so many other flowers that she planted and enjoyed. Well, my sister has that same "touch." Here I am showing you her back yard. She also has a spectacular glassed in "garden room." Soon I hope to share those pictures with you as well.

I know you will enjoy looking at these pictures as much as I enjoy being in her back yard and just "looking!"

Thanks for your visit...Hoping you have a great week !

Artful INKables Music a la Carte

Finally it is Friday Night! Although, I do not know why I am excited...I am working tomorrow. Guess I am excited that I have work. There you go. I am blessed with my job and I am thankful for it.

So ~ I ordered some Flower Soft and I used it for the first time on this card. My image comes from Artful INKables. It is from the set of Music a la Carte...This image really does not go with Flower Soft, but I just had to try it to see where it would go. I think I need a little practice with the Flower Soft, but that will come with time. I colored this image with my Spica Glitter Markers. The background paper is from stash...and the flowers came from Michaels. I also used a piercing plate for two of the corners...but you have to look really close to see it.

I am outta here...too much work and so little time. Wishing all of you a very happy and safe weekend !!!

Music a la Carte

Happy Memorial Day!! I very hopeful prayer for our troops this day!!

It has been a rainy weekend here, but it was a happy rain. Yesterday there was a motor vehicle accident close to my house and the car ran into a power pole and it fell in a neighbor's yard...of course the power went out...I hope everyone was okay, but there were many sirens and I saw an ambulance go by in front of my house. They had to re-route everyone through my street until the clean up was done. Once again, I hope and pray that everyone was okay.

This is one of my very favorite sets of stamps from Artful INKables. I stamped the piano with Versamark Ink and heat embossed with black embossing powder from SU. I colored using Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol adding the Swarovski Crystals. I used Nestabilities Labels Two using Swirling Black Cardstock from Michaels and background music paper from Hobby Lobby. The gingham ribbon came from WalMart and I added a flower with a pearl center to the bow.

Friendship Flowers from Artful INkables

I really apologize for this photo...I haven't had time to fix/adjust and it really does not do it justice....but I wanted to post before the weekend, because I am gonna be very busy with family and I know I will not be able to post until later, probably Monday. So forgive this pathetic attempt at a photograph....The card itself is really great IRL...I used Friendship Flowers from Artful INKables. I heat embossed with Ranger Gold Embossing Powder and colored with my Copic Ciao Markers. Used the Nestabilities Ovals...and Cuttlebug Swiss Dot Folder for the backround and ribbon from Hobby Lobby. Also Martha Stewart butterfly punch. Very simple, but I really like the simplicity...kinda makes it more elegant.

It is 1:00 a.m....and so I am making this short. Wishing all of you the best of the rest of the week and thank you for stopping by ! Try clicking on the picture...that way you can see it better :)

Music a la Carte from Artful INKables

Hello ~ Hope you all had a great weekend. I had a great time yesterday because I had time to do a little stamping. It was raining most of the day...the "good" kind of rain that you love to hear when it comes down on the roof. Just a very comfortable day.

Today is a "New Release" day from Artful INKables. I am excited to reveal some of the new stamps...And this is also "BLOG HOP" day. I made this card using "Music a la Carte" The background paper is mulberry paper that I picked up at the Dollar Store...I used Nestabilities Labels 4. The copper paper is from stash...I heat embossed the guitar and the sentiment in Ranger Copper Embossing Powder. The flowers came from SU's flower punch. I used spacers that I bought from Michaels and put SU's Pretties Kit pearls in the middle. I also added a couple of gold Swarovski Crystals to the sides of the guitar.

Please "hop" on over to Joy's Blog so you can see her beautiful work of art using these new images!

Wishing you all the very best of weeks !

Celestial Bodies by Artful INKables

This week Is just packed with stuff for me to do. Every single day has some kind of appointment that I must keep. Some of it health related, so if any of you want to send a prayer my way, it would be much appreciated. One of my appointments has to do with getting a NEW refrigerator...Yeah!!! The one I have is about 20 years old...and everytime you open the doors it creaks and moans, kinda like a really old scary movie. I am so excited to think that I will have an ice maker that will deliver crushed ice...My old fridge did have that option, but it died quite awhile ago. So I have been having to use ice trays for the longest time. I just love crushed ice.

Anyhoo...these photos are examples of the images from Artful INKables Celestial Bodies. This first ATC was using Once Upon A Time DP. I used Versamark Ink and heat embossed with Ranger Gold Tinsel Embossing Powder. I put rhinestones in the eyes for effect. Then added the flower, sun charm and gold glitter dots.
This second card was the most fun to make...I used Momento Tuxedo Black to stamp the image. Then - Turquoise, Pink, Lavender, and Gold Embossing Powder using the heat embossing technique. I put rhinestones in the eyes. Then I used LuminArte' Metallica Mica Luster Pearl and Simple Solutions Medium Acrylic Medium, which I mixed 1 part LuminArte' and 2 parts Simple Solutions and painted the entire image to give a sparkly look. I just love this stuff...heck, I just love sparkly...the Petite Nestabilities round and scalloped...ribbobn from miscellaneous...and a few gem stones...Whalha!

Please click on the pics so you can really see more of the detail!! Thank you all for taking the time to visit with me. Ya just gotta check out these stamps from Artful INKables. I cannot wait to show you all the new releases...Kristin is at the top of her class when it comes to new images. I am so excited!! Also, please visit the other DT members to the left of my blog...I am talking "Talent" with a capital T !!
