Graduation

The weather here has been amazingly beautiful. I will have to post a picture of my patio so you can see why I enjoy this kind of weather so much. I have enclosed my patio and just had new windows put in. The kind where you can have the windows up, or down. The door I had installed is awesome and also has a window that slides up or down. I have a wicker swing and a fountain (my favorite piece) that I painted. The floor is slate of many colors and is probably the best part of the patio. Everyone who comes over just ooo's and aaahhh's about the floor. I also have a table and 2 chairs in the middle of the patio. I love to come home from work and turn on the fountain and swing...oh and sing. That is my rest time...Now that I have described one of my havens in my house...I guess I had better go figure out how to post pictures of it.

I have a lot of graduations coming up and this is my first card for my friend Kathy's oldest daughter, Kelley. I used SU's Mello Moss for the base and LeJardin Designer Series Paper...some of my favorites. Kelley's favorite color is green and I think this card suits her. I had the Celery Ribbon from a long time ago. I cut out the cap after drawing several I finally came up with what I thought looked really good. I used a computer for the font, Swarovski Crystals and a tassel I bought from Hancock Fabrics. If you click on the picture you can see that the cap is all glittery...where I used Iridescent Ice embossing powder.

Cya :)

Wouldn't you know somebody named Kelley's favorite color would be green. I wonder if she is Irish? Anyway the card is absolutely darling. I love the sparkledy cap. The tassle is just perfect. I'm sure she will love it. I do!

Hey Velta! Thanks for your comment. I made my signature at
http://www.mylivesignature.com/

When I was done making it I just saved the page with the code into my computer's favorites. When I post I just got to that page copy and paste it. There might be an easier way but I don't know any other way. HTH!

Love the cap! I can't believe you did that by hand?! I think you should produce a pattern for people like me who can't draw worth a darn!

What a beautiful card Velta. And, oh I wish I was there with you. I am so tired of our cold weather. The sun is actually shining today, but there is such a cold wind blowing that it really makes no difference. Sorry for venting. Have a great day!!
