Friends

What fun this card was to make!!! I made it for a friend, Julie. When I say a friend, I mean a friend for over 20 years. We used to work together and many years ago, she retired. However, we still keep in touch and go to lunch whenever we get the chance. Julie is one of those friends who is "right" there for you when you are in need. I am very blessed with my circle of friends !

On to the card, I have so many Cuttlebug Folders and I am ashamed to say, they have sat in the drawer for the most part. Mainly, because there is always something new coming out and of course I have to have that also. So I pulled out this set of 4 folders and decided to put it to use. The paper came from Basic Grey's Two Scoops, which I bought at Joan's Gardens. The ribbon came from Flourishes. That hat pin came from the Pretties Kit from SU. The 'sparklies' are Swarovski Crystals and the vellum butterfly is from MS. The sentiment is computer generated.

I really like how this one turned out and can just think of the possibilities that those CB folders can be used as. I took this photo on my patio, because the details turned out better than the ones that I took in my tent.

Wishing you all a wonderful week ahead. Stay safe !

Velta that is just beautiful... I always love seeing what you have made. I didn't see the name of the cuttlebug folder that you used on it, (or I missed it), what is the name of the one you used... my e-mail is non2@sbcglobal.net... I would love to know what folder you used..
I can't wait to see your calendars... I know they will be totally awesome...

the calendars are cut 2 pieces of cardstock, one is 5" x 4 3/4 and the other is 4 3/4 x 4 1/2. the patterned paper is at 4 1/2 x 4 1/4. You can get the calendars at www.redcastle.com then click on software, it's toward the end of the page on the left it will say calendars...can't wait to see what you do with them.. make sure to take notes of what you do so I can copy you. lol

This is a beautiful card...OMG! Your cards are sooo awesome. How did you get the oval shape around your focal point? That is what I am wanting to do but I haven't felt good about asking anyone until now! LOL! Your whole blog looks incredible. How are you doing? School is keeping me busy and I am working long hours. Trying to keep up on blogging and that is lots of time! You write so elegant, words just flow about your cards...WOW! Take care my friend! kt
