Dogwood Branch

Hi all!!! Last weekend my sister and I went grocery shopping. We go together every weekend. We then went to the farmer's market where we purchased fresh seedless watermelon, cantelope, tomatoes, cucumbers, red onions, and corn on the cob. Yummers!!! I took the tomatoes, cucumbers and red onions and chopped them up. I then put them in a Rubber Maid bowl and put Italian Dressing over it. It was so delish! After that we both went to see a movie. What a great weekend we both had! Good thing is, we never take it for granted and we know we are blessed to have each other!

Anyhoo, on to my card, which is as simple as simple can get. I used white metallic cardstock and text paper from Paper and More. I then used a Cuttlebug folder (sry I do not know the name of it) to emboss the background. Colored the Dogwood Branch from Serendipity Stamps with Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol. I used a corner punch and dimensionals and that is it! I figure that I can use this simple card for many occasions, just to have on hand when I need it.

Wishing you a wonderful week ahead and thank you for your visits and awesome comments!

Very pretty. So very elegant. Sometimes less is more as they say. You didn't mention what movie you saw. Donnie and I just saw The Green Lantern because that was his favorite comic book as a boy.

What an elegant card Velta! And I love your story of your market outing with your sister. How lucky you are! While you spent the weekend eating your fruits and veggies - I spent the weekend weeding my cucumbers, zuchinni, tomatoes - so that I'll be able to start eating them soon! Tomorrow it's off to pick blueberries!

This is soooooo beautiful, Velta! It's one of my favorite kinds of cards, all white and CAS with a beautiful colored image. You did a fabulous job on this. It sure would be nice if they put those CB folder names directly on the folder. Once you throw away the packaging, the name is gone. I have to label mine 'cause I know someone will always ask. This one is called Grace's Frame. Love it! Love hearing about you and your sister. Every girl should have a sister, or at least some awesome girlfriends. I have the latter, but I don't think it's quite the same.

And this past weekend I made my dear sweet sister push the grocery cart with car seat, while *I* carried *her* precious granddaughter, who smiled at everyone, through the store. Everyone thought she looked just like me...her Auntie Boo! LOL
